Just FYI, there is theoretically always a Security pup in the bar somewhere, whether they have an entrance post or not. Generally also there's always at least one security mun online most of the time, if we are needed to jump into a thread. This is always at the request of the pups who are involved in any altercation, because we try to be polite-like and not interfere with other people's plots. But yes, there may not always be an entrance post for a Security pup, but rest assured they're around. Archie, for one, spends most of his time out in the bar, or out back, he's Bound, where else can he go? And that's rather the case with many of the pups.

Anyway, suffice to say, that we're almost always around, and more than willing to jump into any thread we're wanted in, but we're not going to butt in where we're not asked, because that's not the way this game is played. It is consent-based, and we must necessarily no nothing without the consent of all parties.

I'll add in my two cents for folks who might be new. If you have plot planned or a meeting going down that might involve a need for Security, folks just need to shout out on the back room. Planning beforehand is love, as we are all busier people these days, Security muns included.

That being said, I can see how IC a character might think there have been injuries and less of a presence, especially if the character is new, and there have been many plot threads run with request for no Security interference. I suggest Drizzt go chat with Archie or Alanna or one of our other fine Security characters so he can get caught up to speed. :)

It's just a matter of getting the hang of the way things work here; we have strict rules regarding boundaries, and we like it that way -- it forces players to communicate with each other and lessens misunderstanding later. :) Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok please forgive if at anytime I seem frustrated, my job is making me go insane. That said I understand and thank the security and all the muns and mods that make sure there is someone in bar at all times to help out.

Drizzt does not. The letter was written mainly because he was concerned that from what he had viewed security presence was not as strong as it once was, simply meaning that there are fewer total security members around. not that they are not there, just that there are not as many as he used to see when he started.

And that should any of them need any help he will be more than happy to assist.

That being said I am sorry once again if I seem cranky or defensive.... I hate Real Life.
