sir_gareth and I had dinner a while back, and we talked Milliways, as you do. We had much fun, reminsisced, snarked, and best of all, hatched a cunning plan!

We all love evil characters at Milliways. Especially well-played evil characters who face IC-consequences and create wonderful, sometimes spontaneous, sometimes planned, plot opportunities. *cough*Blodwenplot*cough*

However, too much all-powerful evil can be a bad thing. Sauron, for example, would be No Fun at the bar, really. But evil like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty evil? Evil like Blackbeard evil? Evil like the witch from Hansel and Gretel evil?

(And can you just imagine a candy house out by the lake? And can you then imagine Ingress and Gavroche nibbling at said house? And then can you imagine Tom (and Door and Megwyn) finding out what happens when Ingress and Gavroche nibble at a witch's candy house? Pleeeeease someone app the witch and plaaaaay with me...)

Soooo Gareth and I want to issue a challenge for the November apps. Talk amongst yourselves, think up some plotty fun - miniplot, barwide plot, what have you - and let's bring the evil on! Mine the fairy tales, folk tales, and the Disney movies and whee!

And we're not talking one time only evil, or mean ugly evil (unless you can pull it off well), or misunderstood and/or ready to be redeemed evil. JUST FUN EVIL FOR THE SHEER AND GLORIOUS ENJOYMENT OF IT!

Dude, I've got a Benry Gale from "Lost" all freshly approved and ready to do nefarious Othery things!

He's not so much with the 'fun' evil, though. More with the creepy, deluded, mad-scientist!zealot!evil.

I was actually thinking very much of apping Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty (one of the best villains in any Disney movie, thank ye kindly...), but I couldn't figure out how to reconcile her.... well.... malevolence *lol* and magic powers. It'd be too chaotic in my hands, me thinks.

I definitely would love to see her apped by someone else. For lasting affectionate love.
