Okay...about the bar...

So, is Barnard the stand-in barkeeper? Does this mean we order stuff from him when he's around? And when you order and he's talking to someone else, does your order just materialize like usual, or do you have to wait for him to give it to you? And, do you have to wait for the barkeeper-player to actually give it to you, or can you write that part yourself?

Sirius is the main barkeep. Bernard tends bar sometimes, so does Dionysus (yes, the Dionysus). If you can see that a bartender is around you can order from him, either in your thread or his. He'll serve you whenever he sees your post (so you're more likely to get quick service if you're in his thread, in my experience).

In my opinion, if you order from a bartender, it's only polite to wait until he serves you. :)

LOL...yeah, it's pretty loosy-goosey, isn't it? My take is to see if Sirius, Bernard, or Dionysus is around, order from their posts if they are, and get drinks that way. Otherwise if you don't see them or assume they're busy, the bar will take care of you.

We're all just making it up as we go along, anyhow. :)

If you don't see a bartender, the bar will provide, thanks to a spell called Servete. Which is all totally made up, but so cool. :)

I think at this point, the bar is mildly sentient, also. You can ask it for food and drink and pretty consistently expect to get it.

Sirius, who as Constantine-mun said, is the main barkeep, will be here only intermittently over the next weeks. He's, er, blind in the staff quarters.

Thanks, all! It looks like characters are ordering at the bar, as it were tonight...well, at least Hornblower's already learned how to do that. Thanks a lot! I feel much bettah. ;)

Hey, Bernard-mun here. A caveat: even if we're in the bar, we may not be on duty. Best way to be sure is if we've posted somewhere asking for drink orders. Or YM me at muffinbutt_worm or AIM me at querulous rows.
