When Odysseus Met Kassandra, Part II

Right! *cracks knuckles and rubs hands together* Selkie's brain was going to explode if she had to summarize both of these monstah-plot-thingums, so I will be doing the grunt work this go-round.

When we last left Kassandra, she was blindly hurtling herself out the forbidden front door of the bar. This thread begins with what she finds there, namely echoes of the war and a whole lot of black. Tonks and James both run after her, also becoming enveloped in the blackness. James, however, has the presence of mind to light his wand, finds Kassandra, and drags her back inside, Tonks right behind them. Odysseus is more than a little freaked out at Kassandra's prophecy, and Kassandra pulls it together enough to make sure he's gotten the message. He has. Kassandra is extremely gracious, offering him hospitality, but also lets Odysseus know that she'll not be taking any more of his insults, thank you very much. Odysseus is a wee bit cranky about his current situation. Kassandra declares that she does not hate him, and that Hektor respected Odysseus. He is still bitter, but Kassandra is again gracious and offers him a room. Both tired, of war and in general, they part in peace.

Epic-James (guh) also speaks with Odysseus, challenging him to pull himself together and be the master of his own being. Odysseus isn't keen on listening, just wanting to get the hell out of the bar, until James pulls the "Kassandra and I can't see our respective kids anymore, but you could if you got your shit together" card, and goes on to tell Odysseus of Harry, and oh dear God, the sobbing of many players is heard. Oddyseus shares his own story, and they, too, part as...well, not as enemies, anyway.

Meanwhile, Mogget appears in his albino-hermit form, worried for Kassandra and offering help. Tonks thinks he seems familiar, but can't quite place him. Since, you know, not a cat. Kassandra greets Mogget with affection. James informs Tonks of the stranger's identity, and Tonks menaces. Mogget stands his ground, and says he would not fight back if Tonks strikes at him. Tonks wants to know why he did what he did, and Mogget gets defensive and sad. Kassandra calls Tonks off, and James is forgiving, and pragmatic. Tonks feels appropriately guilty, and tries to make peace, but Mogget cuts her no slack, and actually makes her feel pretty damn bad about herself before he leaves. Ow. :) Kassandra is sympathetic, and they both realize that the place hasn't worked properly since the angel and the demon left. The two of them proceed to make each other cry, as do their muns. Tonks wants to do something for Kassandra, anything to make it better, but 'Skandra calls it even and goes to bed.

Meanwhile, James absorbs the fact that Tonks refers to Sirius as her cousin, and has a wtf moment. Tonks, when faced with one of her childhood heroes, gets all shy while re-introducing herself, but James is thrilled to see her. They go on to have a nice conversation about current events in another thread here, but not big enough to summarize, so nyah. *blows raspberry*

There! Am done. Apologies to all for any gaps/sweeping generalizations/butchering of Greek mythology.

Fank oo!

(reads happily)
(promises never to start another threadzilla again until later)

I would just like to state that all epic-ness on James' part was completely extemporaneous. I had no clue, before that threadzilla, that he, or I, could do that.
