A MAJOR American Geek Pop Culture Icon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc) in film or book

OR SO ON...

You are a canidate for Hiro's fanboying you like a happy wiggly puppy. What does this mean? Possibly canon puncturing. Possibly just wild fanboying frmo a strange Japanese man who doesn't speak the best English. Possibly nothing.

However, I should advise everyone that Hiro is an Otaku; an Anime Otaku and an American Comics Otaku and a American Culture Otaku. He is nuts about media and is a fan of all of these series in some form. He quotes Star Trek and Kitty Pryde with utmost serious and holds Uncle Ben's creedo of With Great Power Comes Great Responsilbity as his personal hero creed.

If this makes you uncomfortable! If you do not want to puncture yuor pup! PLEASE TELL ME. My aim is AlmostAMurder, I am no whenever I'm playing. I will NOT tag any of these pups that I think Hiro would logically know WITHOUT your permission first -- due to the volatile nature of his squealing fanboy nature.

PLEASE communicate with me. Hiro's a doll and needs a lot of love -- but he also could make a lot of people tear their hair ot gonig ZOMG WHYYYYYYYYY DID YOU SAY THAT YOU LIKED THE COMICS?! There's ways around puncturing. There are ways to curb fanboying.

But the warning exists. This is a character who will do that. So please, be aware when you tag, or send a message to discuss ways around that if you just want to pinch his cheeks and not, y' know, go away with it with your pup going WHAT I AM NOT IMAGINARY YOU BITCH.

Would he be the type to watch CSI? If so, you do have my permission to canon-puncture my two - Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle. I do, however, ask that it be done with as little brain-breaking as possible. Of course, both of mine are AU from seventh-season canon so it could prove interesting nonetheless.

If he's read LOTR, he might recognize Celebrian's name. I ask that she not be punctured. Same goes for my RENT pups: Paul, Ali, Tom Collins. At least for the time being. :D!

I think it would be fun if Chloe met him, given the whole Superman thing. Do you think it would be possible to work around canon-puncturing? I've managed to avoid it thus far (although I have this sinking feeling Chloe would love it if she knew), but the whole "omg Superman" thing would totally be fair game.

Would he recognise people from 24? It doesn't sound like it'd fit most of the categories you mentioned, but it is kind of entering pop culture more and more each season, so not sure how familiar he'd be with it.

It's not a big worry as the 24-sters are canon-punctured, though I can't guarantee that all of them would take any recognition, or if he's seen the show, fanboying.

Sikozu is the only one of mine (so far >.>) that he might even remotely know. She tends to take any references to her having been "on television" to mean the canonical televised interview of the Farscape aliens on Earth. In other words, fine with me, but I don't know what the other 'Scape muns think.

I have no idea if Hiro would know any of mine (Jack Sparrow, Moiraine Sedai, and Gabriel Tam are probably the most likely candidates) -- but if he does, I'm perfectly okay with recognition (or whatever's decided for the FF-verse), as both Jack and Moiraine are aware that others know stories, and Gabriel is used to being recognized for other reasons.

...I may in fact be a bad person for wanting both my pups canon punctured, if only to scare them. Mainly Ichigo. Bleach is rather huge in Japan these days, and Kingdom Hearts (1 and 2) is, I would also say, pretty damn big, so...

Dawn Summers - this one, *I* have no problems with it, but there are several Buffy / Angel-verse muns and some might prefer not -


Rupert Angier - I don't know if Hiro would know "The Prestige" - but pleast to not be breaking the poor boy's head - it gets broken enough with him just trying to figure out the 'magic' bar ;)

I'd love to play with Hiro, but he doesn't have permission to puncture the Cowboy Bebop canon for either of mine from there (Spike & Gren).

Same thing goes for Hero (nice name!) from the comic book Y: The Last Man and Mugen from the anime Samurai Champloo. And I suppose I should throw Howl from Howl's Moving Castle into the mix, since Hiro might likely have seen the film.

But if you want to play and plot around that, any time!

I'm thinking that he's more of a Trekkie then a Star Wars fan-- though I'm thinking he's familiar with all the major movies, but probably not past that.

Basically if I'm familiar with it, Hiro is; if I'm not, he's not-- to a point. Hiro's likely to know more Trek lore then me, and more Bab5, and probably Battlestar Galactica now that I think about it...

My canons have been covered, but I'm just going to throw in a quick second for no puncturing on mine. I'm Beth from Y: The Last Man, Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop, and Jin from Samurai Champloo.

I wouldn't at all mind playing with Hero sometime, though. The truth is that I figure Faye's the one of mine he's most likely to recognize, and as it happens, she'd also probably be the easiest to approach. I mean, if Hero's just acting all excited around her and not actively doing stuff like telling her YOU'RE THAT HOT CHICK FROM THAT COWBOY BEBOP ANIME DON'T SHOOT ME PLSKTHX, she's just going to think he's bowled over by the way she looks.

I'm not sure what the feeling is among the other Buffy-pup muns regarding canon-puncturing, but I think my other pups are the only ones represented in the bar from their respective canons. So puncture at will.

Actually, Malcolm already knows the deal, and neither K nor Zed will be put out much by it. Wesley will be weirded out, but will cope.

Toby, however, will flail like no one's business. =D

Giles, ok as a Buffyverse mun, he hasn't been punctured. And better to keep him as such. He'd likely think this Joss bloke stole the Watchers Journals somehow... He's not in that often so be easy to steer him clear of Hiro.

Draco's as by some controversy, was punctured. But he know just thinks Harry sold his memoirs or JKR's some stalkery wizard-groupie of a muggle with a mad-on for Harry. >.>

Truman's been punctured by his own canon, so he's pretty safe, and likely be fun having them meet since he's something of a geek himself.
