I hate to sound like a broken record, here, but I'm totally going to anyway. A little over a year ago (and I honestly can't believe it has been that long), Cati put out the call for a character via her friends list, and a year ago today, Tycho Celchu entered the bar for the first time, and me along with him. I was nervous, worried about not being tagged, and generally -- yeah, nervous out of my mind. I'd tried big RP like this once or twice before, and I had always been cliqued right out of the game.

I realized within about an hour of playing in Milliways that things were going to be different here. I've never been welcomed anywhere so thoroughly or immediately, and have definitely never had players accept me with such friendliness. Within three months, I felt like I'd been here forever. So I stuck around, and I apped more (and Tycho may be one of my quieter voices now, but a couple of my others are more than loud enough to make up for that, believe you me), and gleefully let Milliways steadily eat my soul.

A year ago, I would have laughed if you'd told me that I would make (and meet!) friends through a LJ roleplaying game, but I have. Even more important than all the laughter and tears people's characters have caused -- the people themselves. Thanks for a fantastic year, Milliways. You all have been and continue to be unbelievable, have made my life better in countless ways, and I hope/plan to thread with and get to know more of you in the year to come.

Wow, has it really been a year since I've known you then? Um, I'm so glad you listened to Cati (omg I can't believe I'm saying that), because it's been awesome getting to know you.

And you have Riley. And Mulcahy and countless others that I love. (Although I may be very biased towards Riley, five guesses why.) And just, yeah. It's been fun chatting with you on AIM and hanging out with you in real life and I'm so glad you joined.

Today's pretty much out due to D&D wacky hijinks. Tomorrow, I've got radio time in the afternoon - and while I can have up to two guests, having time to actually talk is a real plus - and then Drag Ball's at night.
So... lunch thing or dinner thing tomorrow, or something Sunday might be best.

Sunday's iffy for me; lunch or dinner-type things tomorrow sound fine, as long as you guys don't mind that I am going to blow my nose wherever we go. Loudly. Let me know if that generally should be good for you, and then we can work out specifities elsewhere. :)
