Calling all Old Timers!

I could use some assistance. I need references to Mr. Julia Fruitnugget in threads of days of yore. *eyes Shati and Becca* Memories of threads will serve if you can't find the actual links.

I know where a few of mine are from when Mr. Julia was in the lake (it tickled Ingress' tummy once and Tom had good associations with the squid since it was fashioned after the giant squid at Hogwarts lake), but I seem to recall he/she/it had a more nefarious/mischievous side, as well.

For those of you who say "Que?", Mr. Julia was the giant squid stolen by Carmen Sandiego in the fall of 2004 and never rescued. When the kidnapping occurred, there was a quest begun with clues and much puzzling about in bar (including Arithon and Tom almost doing the Hokey Pokey in search of said clues).

Ingress started gathering clues for the rescue last spring, but ran into a dead end IC, and then plans OOC fell apart, and poor Mr. Julia languishes still in some forlorn part of the 'verse. But now there is hope!

She has enlisted Ace and Raven's help in a new quest! Soon (somehow) Mr. Julia will return to the lake, to join the singing goldsquid, Sunshine Dust (whose crack-addled origin can be found here.

So it would be good to have the Millicanon so people can have fun (or not) with Mr. Julia again when it returns. Thankee!

PS - I am very amused that if you google Mr Julia Fruitnugget, Ingress' journal is the first that shows up. :-P

There's a thread where Archie and Svava discover that the squid likes to play catch, but I don't remember if it is Mr Julia Fruitnugget, or Sunshine Dust that is the squid in question. The thread is here (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/4125661.html) though.

I have one. Very early on, Beth & Spike play with Mr. Julia at the lake's edge.

Oh man. This is dredging up old memories.

All the way back to the first lake party, then, in July 2004:

Moiraine meets Anthy for the first time ever, and is introduced to Mr. Julia in the process.

In which we discover that if that pesky Shadow taint hadn't gotten in the way, that Moiraine and Anthy might actually have gotten on at least decently well.

Also, more to the point here, we discover that if one feeds Mr. Julia a bit of sandwich, he'll respond by trying to dance the macarena, that he has big sad eyes and gets his feelings hurt easily, that Anthy was trying to teach him to square dance, and that he's not bothered by orgies.

... I blame the crack. Oh my god there was so much crack.
