Considering that a mod is one of the people that said one of the cattiest, rudest comments in this whole thing, you really should be climbing down off that high horse of yours.

The wank is there, it's done, it's going to be talked about for a while no matter how much you try to clamp down, and Gabe-mun chose a really non-bitchy, rather heart-warming manner to express an opinion and try to remind people of the original spirit of the game, in a way that neither player nor mod has done.

If you really want the wank to pass on, you guys work on the policy as promised, and let people talk it out and let it go on their own. You commenting on it doesn't help either and just makes you sound catty.

Also, you commented on this post about prolonging the wank, but I notice you haven't commented on Aspen's post below it, when both posts are inoffensive and comment on it. Be consistent, please. If you don't want people "prolonging" it, then tell everyone who does it that you don't, don't just single one person out.

People shouldn't misunderstand me, I'm insanely proud of that thread. It was some pretty great crack, and sometimes I like to bask in the GLORY of my own CLEVER, but I'd never do it again.

Stunts like that, and even if I didn't realize it at the time...it was a stunt, don't have a place in a game built and sustained on cooperation.

Saphie, thank you for appreciating my intent. It's fantastic that you do, and slightly saddening to think that others don't, and/or consider it wrong and misinformed.

However, it would be equally fantastic if hostilities could be kept to IMs and e-mails; I'm glad you apparently did this with Josie already and I hope you can do so with Karen and Jez if you feel the need to rebuke their points.
