Does your charrie need a job?
Asar-Suti is hiring gardeners, and, as a special service to denizens of the bar, will accept a) requests for herbs to be grown and b) hobby gardeners that want their own little patch at the far corner of the garden (so you can have that charrie out gardening if that's a thing they would do IC-ly, even if they don't get hired and paid for it because they don't fit the requirements).
IC requirements listed on the note itself.
OOC requirements: not nearly as strict as for bar/waitstaff or security. I'd like to see each paid gardener have an open post while working in the garden once every fortnight or so, in order to make people notice the garden is there and gets worked in; last years, things rather petered off.
Procedure: just have your charrie reply IC-ly to Asar-Suti's note; I will give him in-bar posts on Saturday and Sunday where people can talk to him (slowtime welcome) about being involved with the garden. Depending on RL workload and plot in my other game, I will put up a first gardening post for people to tag into and get assigned their jobs on Tuesday or Wednesday next week (slowtime welcome again); after that, just keep on digging, planting and watering! Depending on RL, the phase of the moon, the mood of my cat and general vagueness and dilatoriness*, I might put up gardening posts for the team to work together at times just so the gardeners can have fun in wellie boots and talk to each other.
The garden itself: This is the third in year in which the garden is being cultivated; among the things in the garden that have been mentioned as extant in earlier years is a lawn right by the back door, with lawn furniture and parasols on it, where people can take their drinks etc. on a warm day; there is a herb garden (magical, medicinal and culinary, which of course overlap) stretching towards the back door of the kitchen, with a potting shed, seed boxes stacked by a wall, and a compost heap; furthermore, there are steps down to the lake, and a more ornamental garden with flowers etc. in its vicinity. We have also mentioned hedges and roses and a shrubbery. The personal patches would be new this years; I am borrowing the idea from my other game, where they worked very well last summer. We had the most lovely plotlet with two brothers that weren't talking to each other, and a huuuge pot of lavender... But these depend on whether there's any interest in them at all.
