Bookcrossing and Milliways
OK, you're all familiar with BookCrossing, right?
If you're not: bookcrossing is an online community dedicated to sharing books you've already read with fellow readers, by passing them on and exchanging. It encourages both leaving books out for others to find, and contacting and exchanging books through the site.
I am currently trying to get as many Milliways canons as possible to Millicon, and for that I need your help! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ATTENDING MILLICON TO HELP WITH THIS.
STEP ONE
Basically, I'd really like bookcrossing members to start tracking down Milliways canons and exchanging their own bookshelves for them: the canons are listed on the cast list, of course, but you'll get a better idea of what's a Milliways canon by what you read and play with.
If you're not a bookcrossing member, you can either sign up, or contact me directly over email if you have or can source any Milliways canons you wouldn't mind giving away (not lending) to Millicon attendees.
STEP TWO
If you're coming to Millicon, that's easy. Just bring your books, having either registered them with bookcrossing or not. If you haven't, I'll do that when you arrive.
If you're not, that's also easy. Just contact me and I'll give you a postal address to send them to.
See how easy it is to get people reading your canon?
Oh, and my email, in case you didn't know:

However, I have a collection of Dresden books that I'm willing to part with if folks are interested in having copies.
I *know* I have "Storm Front" through "Blood Rites" available (1 copy of each). I *might* have 1 extra copy each of "Dead Beat" and "Proven Guilt" (sorry, no, not giving up the hardbacks - He Who Is The Awesome has auto'd those).
Also - ya'll are on your own for "White Knight" - that'd be the new one. *G*
But, yes, if folks are interested, I'll send them. DUDE - one CANNOT have a Milli-Con in CHICAGO and NOT have DRESDEN! :)
And tho no one, so far, plays any pups from Jim's other series - "The Codex Alera" - I have the first two of those in paperback if anyone's interested in copies of those.
Jim's gonna love me b/c i'm gonna have to go buy more copies - again
