A Midsummer Night's Plot
Let me take you back, friends. Back to the days of the Gentlemen's arrival in the bar for a weekend of silent fun. Back to the spring of song and dances when Sweet came by and turned our pup's inner secrets to lovely tunes. Back not too far ago with the Tofu Zombie plot, complete with goth stripping...
You know what I'm talking about, right? I'm getting you nostalgic for FUN CRACK (or not) PLOT!
This June, how about a Midsummer Night's Memory Loss? Borrowing (again) from Buffy - this time the episode Tabula Rasa -
The idea so far is this: Jack Green will listen to the lamentations of some characters who'd rather not remember certain things (and the more he hears, the better - if you have a character who wants to forget something, let Jenna know!) Then he will decide, being all souped up on Midsummer powers, to help these misfortunates by helping them forget. Everything. With apples.
He will bring enchanted apples, and apple products, for anyone who's having a rough time (or likes apples) to snack upon. Upon eating the apples, characters will fall asleep/pass out. When they awake, their memories will be gone. In the Buffy episode, for example, Buffy has no idea she is a Slayer, but she and Dawn guess they're sisters. They don't know their names, so they rechristen themselves (having no id cards, like the others in their party) Joan and Umad (Dawn as read upside down from a necklace). Spike doesn't know he's a vampire, and Tara doesn't know she's a witch. It's all wacky fun!
So basically, your characters can lose their memories, or at least a good deal of them. They can be someone else for a little while (or until their friends and significant others clue them in). You can have cracky fun with it, or you can go for teh drama. It's all up to you. We'll just start and stop the magic.
After Raven has a good time watching folks awhile (about a week), he'll set things right (with cookies).
We're thinking we'll begin on Midsummer itself - Thursday, June 21 and continue about a week before cookie distribution begins. Anyone wanna play? We do need recruits to lament to Jack, and that can happen when Jenna can do it. Please see me (the ringleader), Lynne, or Jenna at vivien529, setsthingsright, and minorblue, respectively, if you have any questions.
(This plot has mod approval and the apples are not coming from Bar, so as not to imply poor Bar's food supply is tainted).
