I think Aziraphale and Moiraine, among others, would have to try it at some point.

Oh, definitely. :) As long as Anthy doesn't serve it. Moiraine remembers the curry.

Descartes goes into a bar.
The waitress says, "Would you like a drink?"
He says, "I think not",
And disappears...

You know, we could get really geeky about it.
We could have metaphysical flapjacks, blackened monads, peripatetic ale, synecdoche stew, onomatapoeia brulee
Really the possibilities are endless.

Well, maybe Socrates could come in an ask for them - or Ratty could just be cooking them up - but Holden would never come up with them.

Ahhhh. Bernard might. I always thought he was better educated than he let on, what with the boarding school in Geneva thing.

Um, yeah. He obvioulsy knows a lot.
But are you playing him pre-Leigh-Cheri?
OMG! The dog! I can't believe he sat on the dog!!!!!!
I must say your Bernard is less bombastic. And I'm really okay with that.

:)) OMG THE DOG. I DIED. WITH THE PUTTING IT IN THE PIANO.
Yeah, several years pre-Leigh-Cheri. He broke out of MacNeil Island the first time and landed here, if you remember that tidbit from the book.

Eh. I made an executive decision. Fleur doesn't need protection, as Veelas control contraception magically, and since there are so so many magical people who can control that sort of thing without blinking, he doesn't get all worked up about it.

I like to think so.
In reality, I just can't keep his mania up for very long. He's exhausting.
I'll always thing that Robbins was addicted to coke when he was writing that book.

How about this - Holden will nto get sick right away. But when Bernard has given up hope - Holden will light a cigarette and that will make him ill.
