Millisketches, Round 2!
Howdy folken!
As some of you may remember, last summer I asked for requests of Milliways scenes to be drawn, since I was heading off on vacation and I get bored easily. (And I like to draw.)
Well, it's time for round two! If you've ever written or read a thread and thought to yourself, "that would make a really great picture," now's your chance.
There are a few things this year that I'm going to be doing differently, however.
1) I'd actually like to give people their pictures. As in, I will physically hand you the piece of paper upon which I have drawn your thing. And what better place to do this than at Millicon? So, if you're attending Millicon, or you know someone who is who can pick your picture up for you, your request will get priority. That's not to say I'll never do any non-Millicon-people pictures, it's just that I won't be mailing them to you (unless you want to pay for that) I'll just scan them. Eventually. My scanner sucks.
*Note: the way I'm looking at it now, most of the pictures will be drawn on postcard-sized paper, so something like 4x5 inches, and marker-coloured.
2) At least to start off with, I'd like to ask that anyone who got a sketch completed last round (completed, not requested, as I didn't get a chance to finish them all) maybe not request right away, but let some other people get their chance first. I'll open this up for doubles later.
3) To make things more interesting for me, I'd prefer that most (if not all) requests consisted of more than just "this character and this character sit around and drink/talk". While your scene may be filled with sparkling and witty dialogue, chances are that will not come across in a picture, and drawing people talking over and over again isn't my very favourite thing. Scenes involving action, emotional drama, stuff like that - those tend to work better.
4) If at all possible, please provide me with either photo reference or a written discription of your character. If they have icons that match what they look like, that works fine, just let me know. This only really becomes a problem when your character uses a mix of PBs or no PB at all.
Aaand I think that's it. Last year's completed requests can be found here. Please leave all requests/questions/monkeys at my LJ, since it's easy to lose track of backroom posts.
Cheers!

I won't be at milli-con, but there are two scenes I've always wanted to see in a visual format...
1) VH's werewolf plot-thingy where he's being attacked from all sides or pounced on or smashed inna head with beer... link 1 and link 2. There's a summary in WBR - here.
2) The fun-tastic Halloween where Connor MacLeod and Kronos were dressed as a horse - Connor was the head and Kronos was the ass - what? no, that wasn't planned... *g*
