Apologies to All
I really should have made this announcement sooner. I mean, I've only been home for entire month. Sorry about that. Anyhoo:
Pro: Kick ass new computers!
Con: They refuse to connect to the internet without a modem.
Pro: New DSL connection!
Con: Waiting for the necessary equipment to arrive/work to be done. This step will result in a connection in my very own room! (Theoretically.)
Con: Hassle to move a computer that does connect to the internet back and forth from the one and only phone jack. Also, use of said phone jack is encouraged to be limited to daylight hours. Maybe if I could find a long enough phone cord...
Con: I need a summer job. Badly. Thus, job searching. Every day. Also, writing a resume, which is a new experience for me. (I’ve had it fairly easy till now.)
Con: Lack of air conditioning where the computer is located. (2nd Floor, ugh). What? It gets hot up there.
Con: Little brother likes to be on the computer, too.
So, the first two issues will, eventually, be taken care of. The third will suffice till then. The fourth will hopefully be resolved by the end of the week. The fifth and sixth I will just have to deal with, until and if I get a connection in my room. One room ACs are awesome.
The above are the reasons why I’ve been scarce lately, and basically amounts to technical difficulties, RL difficulties, and, I will admit, some laziness on my part. The laptop is starting to come in handy here, though the little brother issue complicates that some. We’re working on a compromise. Oh for the days when he was still actually little and I could just shove him out of the chair. Now he’s taller than I am and knows how to box and wrestle. *sigh*

Feel free to scold me utterly and completely. I know, I know, RL comes first and all that jazz, but it doesn't mean I don't feel guilty about not being around.
