Having been part of Milliways for a little over two years now (insert holyshit) I sometimes miss things that have been part of the overall setup of the comm space for some time.

Example? The 'Search Milliways' function on the bar userinfo page.

What is the only thing I get when I type in 'mal reynolds'?

"Raspberry" turns up a whole lot of food and no threads with my pup in them. "Matilda Wormwood" turns up zilch. *shrug*

My favorite of the threads I found was this OOM, where a six-year-old Bran Davies and his father Owen encountered a visiting minister by the name of Merriman Lyon.

Barry's pretty much the only person who called Mel on the shit she pulled. And she hated it, but eventually he was the only person she'd listen to about it.

Pretty much everything I've done for my current pups shows up, though Bary Allen only appears in a handful of OOMs. I should have used more tags, or gone back and retagged things, I suppose

Here's some nostalgia I liked: Knox meets the Joker AND meets Chloe Sullivan, threaded the day of the huge 2006 blizzard.

More interesting is that I searched for "Batman" to see what popped up (a lot of Knox-related stuff, among other things) and found a conversation between Blue Beetle and the Question. I didn't even know we HAD those DC Universe characters. Random word and character searches could be as time consuming as reading old threads.

Beans. Sariel Rager doesn't turn up anything. I'm pretty sure 'Sariel' on it's own would turn up an archangel. and ooooh, academy plotness. That's the plot that convinced me to join Milliways instead of just lurking and reading. All credit where it's due. :)

That plot is the only one that's ever made me stay up until 5am to complete it. I was playing Sheemie at the time and I loved every minute.

For Ray, there are six results, the first one of which is his original Australian Indoor Rules Quidditch sign-up post. We so totally ought to do that sometime.

No results under 'sergeant wells' or 'harry wells'; searching under 'Wells' results in Andrew or Tucker threads.

Nothing for Quinn, Belar, Whistler, or the Brig. I doubt any of my others will get results either. Alas and woe.

Ray Stantz, Harry Wells, Quinn Abercromby, Annie Wells, the Brigadier, Belar, Whistler, Admiral Zhao, and a secret pup. In the past I've had Detritus the troll, Gimli son of Gloin, Number Ten Ox, Jah-lila the unicorn, and a couple of other short-timers.

Well, I was right. Sariel turned up a handful of results for an angel-lady, including something about her having a birthday and blaming Puck for the resultant hat. No idea.

'Murphy MacManus' only gets me the boy's first encounter with Malcolm Crowe (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/8607851.html). 'MacManus' gets that post along with the boys volunteering to help with the kitsune cold (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/6368628.html) (and later apologizing to their sister for doing so without her (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/6457961.html)), while 'Murphy' brings up Connor's arrival in the bar (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/4833350.html) and the post that activated the Other's curse on the twins (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/8735959.html).

Former pup Rowena Ravenclaw doesn't seem to have any posts, though 'Ravenclaw' brings up a conversation between Sarah Rainmaker and Sheemie Ruiz.

And poor Jake only finds four posts regarding the young gunslinger Jake Chalmers and an OOM mention of Jacob Grimm, with no documentation found for either 'Jake the cat' or 'Zunar J5/9 Doric 47'.

Heh. Tom had six results: a letter to friends after Door's rescue in 2005, a post for Alain in which there is no appearance by Tom, Anthony's birth *sniff, good times, sniff*, invitations, and more owl post. Just entering in Tom brings up about 58, but one is Tom Collins, so they are not all my Tom. :-P

Ingress has 16!!!! Good heavens! Oh, and one is the one time adult Ingress visits.

None for Missouri or Susan Pevensie, though. Scarlett brings up one for Will Scarlett O'Hara. *giggles* Albus gets one, but nothing for Dumbledore.
