We the ReBoot muns are finally drawing towards the conclusion of the Daemonplot, but we need your help! Enzo a.k.a. Little Matrix is currently looking for programmers to try to fix up the semifunctional cure for Daemon's viral infection. In the first week of July, Enzo will be returning to Mainframe with reinforcements, to administer the cure if possible and to go after Daemon herself; recruitment will begin a couple days before that. We'll probably still need additional programmers at that point in addition to the fighters, but the programmers can start sooner.

Complication #1: The good guys of ReBoot have been infected and will be aiding and defending Daemon. Try not to hurt 'em too bad. This also includes our friends from Snow Crash. (For that matter, the assault team won't actually get to kill Daemon either, since that's not how the plot ends.) You may also face miscellaneous infected Guardians and binomes - again, all good people when they're not infected, but we don't know 'em personally so you've got a bit more leeway there.

Complication #2: While the coders can work from Milliways if they like, the assault team will of course have to enter Mainframe. This means that ordinary humans and anyone else who cannot assume some kind of computer-compatible energy-based form will have to be digitized. Unfortunately, Dr. Stantz and Harper don't yet have the digitizing laser working in both directions. It can turn you into a sprite just fine... The digitized people will be able to reenter Milliways when this plot's done, but they can't go to matter-based worlds. We don't know just how long it's gonna take Stantz and Harper to fix the laser; take it up with them.

How to get in touch with Stanz and Harper? I'd like to sign up a pup, but I'm a little more curious toward how long they'd stay digitized before one of them makes them mater-based peoples again.

Actually, programmers can join up starting right away (but they can keep joining up to the point when we return to Mainframe too). After all, finding a programmer or three is why Enzo was sent to Milliways in the first place. Just watch Enzo's EPs for a suitable opportunity.

Bonzo is looking to go off and save the world in some way, shape, or form, as we discussed. He has a bit of combat experience (and more training in the matter than he likes to think about). So he's in...

And he is also not exactly averse to being in some form that will keep him away from home for a bit longer...or otherwise immune to being hauled off by a certain bounty hunter.

Dooku may or may not insist on tagging along with Bonzo; sorta depends on who else makes the team, but his involvement is largely negotiable.

I have a Carl. Provided his own canon!OOMs aren't far enough along to be posted yet - and if you can work around my odd work schedule - he'd love to help.
(I'll be BSing it all to hell and back, but he'll have fun. XD And he's met Bob, so he'd take an interest even without the coding.)

Well, he could start helping right away if you want. The cure-file is complex enough that I think the programmers will still be working on it while the fighting's going on, but Enzo was sent to Milliways to find a programmer and he's not gonna procrastinate about that.

I've already agreed to have Tommy participate as a fighter; he's got a device from his canon that should enable him to be reverted back to his human form once things are concluded, though I don't know whether it would work on anyone not from his world, or without similar abilities.

I'm just having some major (repeat, MAJOR) internet issues lately, so stuff with him will probably have to be slowtimed and I will need to schedule times of day when I can get to the mall and use the connection there for a couple hours of RP daily.
