(no subject)

All stories come to an end. Sometimes the endings need a push to come to a close.

Susan Pevensie was left alone in the world, when her family was killed in the train accident. Her lot in life was to live it - not for her was the blessed escape of Aslan's Country.

As I have played her, I've kept this in mind. While I fancied the idea of her meeting someone charming and handsome, a prince of some magical country brought to Milliways, I knew that my goal for Susan was to lead her to life, not escape.

Tonight is Susan's last entrance in Milliways. A little over three years has past since the last time she was in Milliways. She's gone on to marry not a handsome and charming prince, but a good man who loves her, and to build her own family.

One day she will enter Aslan's Country, and there will be joyous reunions. Until then, she'll have this last one to keep close in her heart.

It has been a joy to play her, and I've been honored to try to do right by her. This post is open until everyone who knew Susan and wants to say hello again, and goodbye, gets a chance to do so.

You've done a beautiful job with her, and I've been delighted by every thread I've read and every one I've gotten to play with Susan.

Thank you for that, and thank you for giving her the right kind of ending.

*hugs her, and you*

Oh, Susan.

I'm sorry that she and the Professor never got to meet at Milliways but I think it's probably better this way. He doesn't know how soon his death is approaching, and, well, all will meet again in Aslan's country.

There's one other thing I meant to say. I've hated the ending Lewis gave Susan since I was twelve years old. Thank you for bringing us a Susan who isn't only lipsticks and nylons - who understands what she did wrong and regrets it but is able, for the most part, to put those regrets aside -- who loves and misses her family -- who's willing and able to continue her life in a meaningful way. Thanks, that is, for fixing her ending.

Viv, you've played an absolutely lovely Susan, one whose regrets and sadness and wisdom help others through her kind ways; but despite those things she is also cheerful and lovely and good. I've had such fun working with her and you have my undying adoration for giving a beloved character and real and far less horrible ending than Lewis did.

She's been wonderful, and so have you!

What Rym said. It was a pleasure playing off her, and I should've done it more often. *hugs*

I am sorry she'll miss Eustace... but they'll see each other again. :)
