So a little more than three years ago, I was reading vivien529's posts about this new and apparently quite awesome RPG she was playing in. I read a few threads, considered my options, decided that I had enough room in my brain to allow for another RPG, made this journal -- and three years ago today, I posted in for the first time.

I've lost sleep over this game, spent hours doing research to prepare for plots (and loved every second of it), kept writing even through writer's blocks and frustrations, traumatised other players and been traumatised myself. I can safely say that there are a whole slew of wonderful and incredibly talented people that I would never have known without the common interest of milliways_bar, and even if I haven't been playing as much as I would like to in the last few months, I'm still amazingly glad to be a part of this game.

Thanks, everyone. Really and truly. ^_^

(This is the second time that I've almost missed my Milliversary. For some reason, I keep thinking that it's 27 July and not 17 July. WTF, brain.)

Wow. I just realized I missed mine, last week. Not that I've been all that active lately, but to have been in a game and with people from that game for 3+ years? huge.

I'm still friends with people from the TDIR RPG I was in when I first got an LJ, back in early 2003 when you still needed a password to get one. And I'm still friends with people from triumvirate, the HP game that started back in 2003-ish and finished just before Book 6 came out. But Milliways will soon pass Trium as my longest-running game. ^_^
