a summary, for your reading pleasure
Not a Threadzilla, really, but there's some Important Stuff there at the end. This was... um... three nights ago? (The night before the Something Positive thread.) But in grand two-person-conversation tradition, we only just finished it last night.
Anyway: a Threadzillette
Jane comes in for the first time since the bar-stealing, and dubs it a nice change of pace from blowing the thing up all the time. Snow comes over, and they catch up a bit. Jane points out how hard it is to avoid sarcasm when dealing with stupid customers, and finds out there's more to Millie than meets the eye. She doesn't find out exactly what, though, as it's time for the kids to go to bed.
Tim-cat wanders over. Jane, having figured out who he was the first time he came in like that (this is the third, at least as far as she knows), wonders if he isn't getting tired of the whole cat thing yet. He wants to be picked up, and Jane takes him at his word, also asking if this is just a trick to get free food and massages. It's a trick to find out stuff back home, apparently. Jane finally has to put him down, and... well, perhaps it's just as well the bar wasn't there to get a drink from. Surprise!
Jane and human!Tim continue their conversation; Jane gripes about work, but figures she'll manage. Tim's thinking about moving into the bar, partly because things are happy. This leads into the fact that the bar itself's been stolen, as far as Jane knows. Tim's still trying to make sense of the place, and Jane recommends that he doesn't stress over it.
Topic change time: Tim found his fandom! He also tells Jane what Andrew's from, since it's been bothering her.* He's considering the recognition universal payback of a sort, since he's done the same for others. Jane mentions her brief conversation with
jackdawson. Tim says it could be worse - no Bill or Ted, so far. XD
That leads to discussion of those two movies, complete with air guitar, and who else should come into the bar. I decide it's not unreasonable for Jane to have watched Soap at some point. Tim says he's already met one of his choices, and Jane mentions how Americans get British TV on basic or no cable. (That's the case around here, anyway...)
Jane calls for a new topic, important questions are dealt with, and there is snogging. The end.
*In Daria canon, Buffy is a TV show, but Quinn is the only character that mentions watching it. I figured Jane would have channel-surfed past it and possibly stopped to watch long enough to vaguely recognize Andrew.
