New from White Wolf -- Threadzilla: The Summarizing.
The following summary is cut-tagged for your protection, as it contains Seasons 1 & 2 spoilers from Farscape, and may also contain traces of Season 7 spoilers from Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
After angsting a bit in his notebook, Andrew comes downstairs and is accosted by Mr. B Natural. Amusement ensues as Andrew misinterprets the inevitable question. After confusion and accusations of illiteracy, Andrew finally realizes what Mr. B is on about. (Andrew-mun flakes on a bit of trivia and resolves never to do it again.)
Subsequently (okay, simultaneously, but subsequently in Milliways-time), Angelina Johnson comes over and strikes up a conversation, making Andrew a bit unnerved. When she offers him a butterbeer, he recognizes her canon, which in turn unnerves her. There is some brief discussion on being fictional, and when Angie says that she wishes John were here, the conversation is abruptly derailed into another one (see below).
Megwyn, who's been looking at pretty much everybody in the bar, looks at Andrew (and is sensibly unimpressed). Andrew quotes LOTR, confusing Megwyn a bit. Megwyn "talks" to Andrew. Andrew gets pretentious; Megwyn calls him on it. Andrew takes an important step towards self-awareness.
Tim Hunter comes by to chat. There is small talk. Tim talks about the "Omigod" part of the place, and mentions a few people who've come in and gotten huge reactions. Andrew fixates on the name Luke Skywalker. Tim mentions Mulder and Scully. Andrew decides he's in geek heaven. Amusingly enough, Luke himself walks into the bar at this point (in a different thread). Tim points him out. Andrew hyperventilates. Tim is vaguely comforting.
Meg recognizes Andrew from last night, marches over and demands to know absolutely everything about Crichton and "this Scorpio character". Andrew is nervous but willing. They talk for a bit about how Andrew knows them in the first place, and how long Crichton's been like this. Meg tells him about the Pensieve; Angie confirms it. It occurs to Andrew to ask when Crichton is here from, and establishes that it's just after the cliffhanger ending of Season 1. (Andrew-mun's head hurts from the meta.) Andrew is hopeful about finding a cure because he knows from the TV show that Crichton is okay after this, but Meg warns him that time works differently here. Meg also isn't so sure that putting things back the way they were is such a good idea, as that would leave the neuroclone right where it is and ready to attack again. Andrew thinks that's inevitable because he's seen the future of the story; Meg points out that people who come to Milliways often wind up wandering quite far from how their stories originally went.
This is promising, and the group decides to try getting rid of the neuroclone entirely. Meg suggests using the Pensieve to get into Crichton's head and fight the Scorpius-personality there. Andrew isn't sure this will work, and quotes Ghostbusters. Meg brainstorms, and gets increasingly inventive about nicknames for Scorpius. Andrew gets a bit annoyed, insisting that real names are important. They conclude that Scorpius is probably not a demon, so Summoning him wouldn't work, but some magic solution or other may be necessary. (It occurs to Andrew to ask Willow.) Angie warns that this is science they're dealing with, not magic; Andrew confirms that mixing science and magic can get unpredictable. Meg wonders about scientists or other "terribly futuristic" people. Tim Hunter, who has just poked his head in, (facetiously?) suggests Ace Rimmer. Meg is bewildered. Andrew (or at least Andrew-mun) is too distracted to catch the reference.
Tim also suggests using magic, by recruiting the assorted wizards around the place. Angie, remembering what happened to Raph, is uneasy about mixing magics. Tim points out that other magic-mixing seems to've worked, and suggests that the really high-powered wizards summon power and feed it to the "wandy types", who are better at focusing. He and Angie discuss the potential of this for a bit. Meg reminds the group that brains are delicate, and we really don't want to hurt Crichton. Tim suggests bypassing the physical brain and just working with the mind; Meg points out that the cause is physical, so the symptoms would doubtless return. Tim is frustrated. Andrew gets emotional, as does Meg. The group gets determined. Andrew asks where the Pensieve is, and suggests getting hold of both it and either an expert or an instruction manual from Angie's world. Plans are made to meet back here again soon.
