Or rather, a roach.

Meet Archy, a cockroach with literary aspirations and the soul of a poet. Archy communicates through his typewriter, so his dialog will look like this. Also, since he cannot reach the shift key, he won't capitalize or punctuate unless someone turns on the capslock for him.

Please to not be squishing him.

On a different note, though, one of my other pups, Dean O'Dell is (I have decided) a former lit professor. Is it too soon for someone to see the roach on a typewriter and go "oh dear lord, he's real"?

I am struck by the overwhelming urge to have Skinner talk to him. I do not think he would squish the critter. Flip out? Maybe. But the writing might please him once he gets past the cockroach thing.
