No elephants in this, I might note. Between mastodons and mammoths, virtually all the spotlight on extinct mammals seems to have to do with elephants, and I like to mix things up a bit.

Uintatherium is another story.

Anything specific you're looking for in candidates?

I expect there to be incidents in Central Park, along the West Side Highway, and possibly at Chelsea Piers. This is mostly going to be a "GRR! ARRRGH!" plot with lots of fangs and claws and nasty sharp pointy teeth, but there's likely to be a few harmless critters around who could do with saving. mostly, though, it's a GRR! ARRRGH! situation.

Dispelling or undoing magic isn't likely to be particularly helpful, I should mention that.

Well, if you're interested in getting him there, it'd probably be best to establish a reason he'd be inclined to even consider it first. But sure, if you want to send him against ferocious beasties, we've probably got room.

He's one of those fun ones who doesn't need much of a reason. People in trouble, he tries to do something. Help needed? He'll offer.

...also anything to distract him from NO KITAI OMG is good.

Then again, there's always Garion. Who, you know, feels terrible that whatever happened to Ray happened to him even though it's utterly not his fault.

Garion might be a better bet for the Raiders of the Lost Warehouse plot. He sort of has experience with powerful holy artifacts being held in secure locations that suddenly get stolen by bad people with the intent of doing unwholesome things with them.

OF COURSE HE DOESN'T. HE'S NEVER EXPERIENCED THAT EVER.

If you've got room and inclination, I would like to toss an Asyr. She is, as you know, feeling stir-crazy and anxious, and would like to be DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE.

And she liked Ray when they talked.
