Belated Summary of the Wiggin Reunion
Okay, this took an hour to do. x_X
Ender walks into the bar after having been asleep for three days, unaware that his siblings have arrived in his absence. Valentine immediately comes over, surprising and delighting him. Peter arrives soon after. They are happy. Valentine disses out Peter. Peter counters, but is dismissed by Ender. Peter leaves, and Ender and Valentine decide to try and leave the bar.
They are unsuccessful.
Tim is concerned, and then talks to Ender for a bit. Meg is also concerned. She then meets Ender, and chats to Val, who gives her bios of the Wiggin children and warns her about Peter. She talks to Val about the possibility of her being recognized, and the possibility of Wiggin action figures.
Ender, meanwhile, is also talking to Meg. He inquires as to where she's from. They begin talking about the bar. Ender wonders whether there's a pattern to the bar's selections. He ventures a theory, which Meg doubts. Then the thread gets fun.
Meg uses her tutu as evidence that she wouldn't make a good soldier. Ender says she'd be good for command work, sans tutu. Meg demonstrates the physics-defying properties of her tutu. Ender proposes outfitting an army with tutus and wonders where the bar is. Meg tells him it's on vacation. Ender inquires as to whether it is getting a nice tan. Meg tells him it was 'stolen' by Carmen Sandiego, but they probably eloped. Ender envisions the tux. They imagine the wedding and future progeny.
Meanwhile, Ender and Val are talking. Ender is disappointed that they didn't get out of the bar. Val sympathizes, and Ender is is determined. They are sappy and adorable. Ender is scarred from his experiences. Val is comforting. They discuss future plans and Peter. Ender brings up his bar theory again. They are adorably determined to investigate the bar.
Meanwhile (ahh, Milliways-time, how I love you), Will Stanton recognizes Ender and is introduced to Valentine. They begin to talk. Ender is described as a 'nice kid'. He inquires after Dream, and Will thanks him for guarding them. Ender asks about the Dream-world. Will answers. Ender talks about guarding them and reveals that he didn't sleep the entire time he was guarding them. Ender asks what Will's been up to lately. They discuss being Bound and Cordelia.
Will and Val are also talking. They discuss family and the difficulty of being special. Val and Will discuss loneliness. Ender and Val are sappy again. They are all amiable.
Ender and Val exit to investigate the bar, while their muns collapse into bed.
