Thank You, Saph! =D
Fall 2004. First day of college & first college dinner. At random, another freshman sat next to me and we started to talk about everything from Sephiroth to her awesome computer with Harry Potter spraypainted on the side.
Thus, a friendship was born.
Fall 2006. I finally get interested enough &, with a summer to prepare for it, decide to take Saph's suggestion to join this blissful insanity by bringing back the terrific athlete himself, Homestar Runner.
Fall 2007. Three pups, one Millicon, & goodness knows how many dramatic/crack threads & plots later, it feels so much longer than just a year. But this is more than just a Milliversary, more than even a first Milliversary.
Nay, this is a thank you to Saph. For sitting by me on that first night. (Or I might have sat by you. Not sure which way it happened, but it's a moot point now.) For showing me your kick-awesome Harry Potter computer. For teaching me how to crochet. For insisting that I watch Firefly, Doctor Who, & anything else we might have marathoned at your suggestion. For introducing me to DDR. For hanging out with me on Fridays where we knit, have tea, & watch movies. For going Christmas shopping with me at the beginning of November.
But most importantly here, for introducing me to Milliways.
Thank you so much for everything, Saph.
And happy birthday! Of all the events for my Milliversary to be near, your birthday would have to be the most appropriate one. Many happy returns of the day & I'll see you at the party. =D
