An Idea For Halloween
Hi all. Hallowen is coming, and I wanted to offer something new.
There was an episode of Frasier where the good doctor invited his friends to come as their heroes for a Halloween party. He came as Freud, his father was Joe DiMaggio, etc. It was a good episode, and offered a bit of insight into the makeup of the other cast members (which I leave otherwise unspoiled in case you want to see it).
I got to thinking that it would be a great idea to try this for Halloween. Have your pup dress as, or be costumed as by Bar, his or her hero. For example - and this is canon - Kirk's hero is Abe Lincoln. So he'd wear a stovepipe hat and (if the Bar was feeling silly) be taller. I won't actually bring Kirk into the Bar, though, as we wouldn't learn anything new about who he is. It could be more interesting to select one pup you have and surprise everyone (maybe even the pup) by figuring out who is the one true hero of the person.
I also would like to find a way for pups to make a conscious choice, to be encouraged to dress as their heroes rather than be zapped and not quite get it. That could mean a party with a theme. Which I couldn't possibly run, since I will be lucky if I can play much that week due to what will be a busy stretch at work. So if anyone has any suggestions as to how to implement this, I would like to hear them.
Thanks.
ETA: I almost forgot one thing. If your pup would want to dress as an active character in the Bar, I would highly suggest that you contact the pup's player first, to avoid any misunderstandings or canon puncturing.

I may or may not have Truman involved with the dressing up, even though canon pretty much gave us the answer to how he would dress up. Namely as Magellan.

The Prez in my head also approves of this idea.

That's actually Simonson
I'll, um, take that as a no for the costume thing.
