Possible identification of the Landlord?

Well, the good Landlord anyway — the one who bought out Milliways and opened it up to multiple universes — was simply transferring a well-tested business model. In fact, a specific implementation of that business model.

The Tropes Wiki entry cited above says that the Floating Vagabond

only exists in one place and time, but has a device that will randomly cause people who enter other bars in any time, reality, or location in the universe to end up there... and once it's happened once, they can intentionally cause it to happen whenever they enter another bar from then on.

Sound familiar?

Ah, yes. When I brought this to Millicon, I referred to it as "Milliways: The Home Game".

I had actually assumed when I joined Milliways, that the whole idea was referring to the Vagabond. :)

I think that in that first entry you link, they try to refer to us ('Milliways - after a fashion') but lack category to do so.

It looks like an interesting site, though. The 'TV Tropes' one, I mean.

They're referring directly to Milliways as Adams described it; if they knew about the Bar, I suspect they'd list it as the Massively Multiplayer Crossover it is.

And yes, I-Austin and all my voices find it really entertaining and fun, even if it does ruin my life. (Which it doesn't do in any ways that weren't already inevitable from reading Michael Hauge's Writing Screenplays That Sell.)

It's a Wiki. I think it needs editing on the first entry you linked to include us. We're not fish guts, after all. We deserve to be mentioned.

Hmmm - still no category. What are we? Fanfic? Webcomic?

Then I'll have to find out about how to edit that wiki so the Massively Multiplayer Crossover will refer to us.

As a result of your post, I have become addicted to 'TV Tropes' as instead of a simple Archive Binge (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main.ArchiveBinge), it offers a nonlinear wander through all sort of concepts pertaining to storytelling in all its aspects - but then, it is fascinating to know all that.-
