Meep.
Just...meep.
The Giant Threadzilla of Doom is currently underway (on pause for certain muns' bedtimes), which is going to either be the culmination or only the beginning of the current Crichton plot. I honestly don't have a clue, since this entire thing is being played by ear with no advance planning whatsoever. It's amazing any of it manages to be coherent.
So, in honor of this Giant Threadzilla of Doom, I hereby present this Long Overdue Summary of Doom, covering everything that happened since a week ago Friday.
The very first thing Scorpius-clone does upon emerging from the Pensieve in Crichton's body is try to leave Milliways. He's got the wormhole information he needs, but he then discovers he is Bound. This is a Bad Thing.
Meanwhile, in the Pensieve, the real Crichton is hearing voices and seeing copies of himself.
Meanwhile, in Milliways, Scorpichton is silently observing the surroundings, looking for anyone who can help him figure out why he's Bound. He is approached by Barbie, who is looking for her body. Scorpichton doesn't want to talk to her, and tries to get rid of her quickly by playing a cruel trick. It's unclear whether she falls for it or not.
Scorpichton is also approached by Meg, who immediately begins to suspect that body-switching is at work, though she tries to blame the curry for it. Scorpichton asks her how to become unBound, Meg decides to test him, and Scorpichton explains why he needed the Pensieve in the first place. But all this proof doesn't change the fact that Crichton is talking and acting weirdly, and Meg is still suspicious.
In the meantime, Crichton establishes just what's happening in the Pensieve.
Scorpichton comes back down to his familiar bar-observing, this time meeting Raph. He's getting better at it, managing to keep Raph from getting suspicious while asking about being Bound for quite a while. Not for long, though, and Raph starts getting suspicious. He guesses wrong as to the reason, but Scorpichton is saved from having to suffer further elaboration when the bar is stolen.
Scorpichton uses this as a chance to escape to the outskirts of the room, where Angie corners him. He tells her he wants to leave. She gets emotional. Crichton-mun starts feeling awful as Scorpichton plays with her emotions and acts manipulative. He finally brings her around.
Meanwhile, in the Pensieve, the Crichtons try to get some answers.
Angie is crying. She approaches Tonks to ask her what happened with the Pensieve. Tonks doesn't realize Crichton's left the Pensieve, which leads to Angie making a misunderstanding that is nonetheless 100% correct.
Meg approaches Scorpichton again two days later. Scorpichton makes a joke in order to alleviate her suspicions, and it partially works -- until Tim and Andrew show up.
Andrew immediately recognizes Scorpichton for who he is. Scorpichton tries to bluff Andrew out and fails, then finally has to resort to an open threat.
Later, Scorpichton picks out Dream, correctly, as someone who can tell him why he is Bound. Scorpichton gets all the information he can, but refuses to accept it and leaves.
Scorpichton spots Willow and recognizes her as someone Andrew spoke to. He uses her to get Andrew's name and other useful information.
Here is where things turn sour for Scorpichton. Andrew ends up not being very good at the whole keeping-his-mouth-shut bit, talking to both Meg and Angie about it. They theorize about the Pensieve and a lot of other stuff that was already summarized by Andrew-mun days ago (yes, I'm lazy).
Angie sends a note to Tonks. Tonks sends a note to Angie. Finally they meet, and Tonks gives Angie the Pensieve. Simultaneously, Angie laments to Snow about Crichton's situation.
That night, Andrew comes back to his room to find Scorpichton there waiting for him. Scorpichton, again, tries to freak Andrew out, knowing his name and who he talked to, though he gets one detail (Tonks) wrong. He makes Andrew an offer he can't refuse, and then an offer he *has* to refuse, then leaves without incident.
Since it's going to be huge, I'll summarize the Plotting Against Scorpius in the next post.
*takes a deep breath*
