Just for conciseness sake, and his skill at imagining wonderful worlds, I consider him superior to Jordan... but that's just me.

Mistborn (The Final Empire), The Well of Ascension, and Elantris are his genre fantasy novels; he also has a youth novel, Alcatraz and the Evil Librarians.

...Okay I've never read any of Jordan's books, so that's not the reason for my INTENSE NEED TO READ THAT LAST BOOK.
