Daily Entertainment.

Ugh.

Work.

Ugh.

So, I only really have one question, y'all.

...Did you miss me? :D???

Yep. That's exactly the given reason. That without knowing the canon, they won't be able to write the thread accurately enough for the other character.

It's actually a reason I've seen way too often over the years, and it always confuses me, considering the nature of the game. I mean - when we meet new people in real life, do we know their canon? >_>

(....CREEPY.)

...Goodness.

But that's one of the glories of a panfandom game, for me!

I mean, okay. I am much more likely to both look at the userinfo and to ping someone if I don't know the character and I'm threading with, say, River. And say "Help! I do not know your canon! Tell me anything I ought to be aware of?" But that's because she's a psychic without shields; with my others, I am always happy for more info because it's fun, but I don't really need it. And no matter what, I'd never refuse a thread because I didn't know the canon.

Heck, I'm pretty sure I'd never read the Dark Tower when I threw River at Roland the first time, and look how that turned out. And that's only one example of many from my own experience.
