Something came up in yesterday's DE that concerned me a little: Have you ever been tagged by someone and then not tagged back/not wanted to thread with them because you didn't know their canon? Why?

For those that have not: do you have a preference to play with characters from canons that you are familiar with? Why or why not?

For mods: Can I make a 'daily entertainment' tag inna backroom?

What about the livejournal.com alias? Or is that for non-free accounts only?

I think that's only for paid and permanent accounts.

But can't people send private messages through livejournal now? The little "send this user a message" thing under the username on profiles? I'm pretty sure that's a feature even basic accounts have, and supposing it doesn't take forever for messages to go through the system, it might solve the problem of contacting someone keeping their information private.
