This is, like, the only full episode of the show I have seen! Besides one from this season, but that was made difficult to understand by all of the girls who were in the kitchen and their constant, loud !!!!!!! over how cute Robin Hood is.

The episode you're talking about totally made me go 'WHAT THE EFF. MARIAN CAN'T DIE!!!', though.

I don't know from Robin Hoodie. In fact, the only hoodie I know is the one that Patriots coach Bill Bellichek wears.

*peers in warily*

Is this the BBC show thing or some other thing? I confess my utter cluelessness here.

Reading that broke my heart a little.

That was so sad. I saw that on the news, and kind of stared at the wall for a few minutes.

OMG spoilerz for EVERYTHING! Do not read if you don't want to be spoiled!

Er...what? Is the series even watchable for Americans?

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, and I'm pretty sure you're talking about the new BBC Hood series, right?

It's really, really disheartening to see writers in popular mediums continually:

1. Get so lazy that the only way they can write themselves out of a complex dramatic situation by killing off a character, and

2. Really, really think that it's okay to be cavalier with the life of a strong female protagonist/heroine/major character.

Hi, DC and BBC. I'm lookin' at YOU.

Okay, I'm not going to bother to put this in white text, so everyone STOP READING NOW if you don't want further spoilers:

Please explain how the show can even continue without the strong female lead character?

Honestly, I wonder if the writers realize how offensive the whole thing is, unless it's a fakeout comic book-type not-really-death.

I was unaware there was even a s2 for this show. I thought there was only teh s1. *is so in on the Hoodies*

I don't watch it anywho. :P I think I saw about 10 mins of one episode once and melted into boredom.

TV just ain't my bag, baby. Never has been. The only TV shows I have ever watched are Doctor Who, Torchwood and LazyTown (what?).

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.

I love you.

GLORIOUS TRAGEDY. GLORIOUS GLORIOUS TRAGEDY.

I'm sorry. The whole thing brings me out in caps.

BUT YES. OMG. OMGOMG. It was AWESOME. And TERRIBLE. All at once. Like... Galadriel going all Dark Lord on Frodo in LOTR.

So. White text time.

My main issue with the season 2 finale was how...bizarre Marian was all episode. I say bizarre. What I mean is callous, suddenly brain-dead witch. But only in that last scene with Guy. I mean. Hello? Emotionally wacky man with anger management issues who is also MADLY in love you and... you reach in, grab his heart, pull it out, stomp on it, feed it to a camel and then attempt to fill the gaping hole in his chest with salt? And what would have stopped him killing the King after you were dead? Omg. Omg. WHAT?

I think...I'm starting to reconcile it all in my brains though. I've read some fairly interesting commentary on it from other people and... with a bit of twisting I can kind of figure out how what happened could potentially make sense.

However, if Guy fails to go all insane and mega-evil in season 3? I am going to be SORELY disappointed.
