1. SARAH's going to do a SuperBowl party. Any takers?
2. Does anyone here speak Spanish fluidly-to-fluently? Can I ask you Stuff? (Primarily related to dialect differentiation between Iberian and Central American Spanish.)
3. My new online toy: Where I've Been.

Boy do I wish I spoke Spanish better than I do; my level of skill is dismal. It's on the list of things to change. I have enough comprehension to get by in the US or in certain other countries, but I wouldn't call myself fluid or fluent.

I have a post to write sometime later re: List of Things to Change. Between Slumber Parties (oh my goodness Aspen -- my first party is going to have 35 people there) and just trying to be more inspired about life in general, I feel like I have stuff to do. It's very fun.
Also *cuts and pastes* re: Spanish? I am trying to determine if Alec the Iberian Boyfriend would be a help or a hindrance as a dialect model.

Also, there is the fact that the Giants' quarterback, Eli Manning, is the younger brother of last year's winning quarterback, Peyton Manning. I get the feeling that Sam relates to Eli, who is less cocky and outgoing than his brother. Oh, and the Mannings' father, Archie, was a pro quarterback as well.

All I can say about the Spanish is that if you find such a person, I WANT THEM, TOO. My Rio de la Plata dialect is almost like a different language from Latin American spanish, and I keep flailing at writing for that Project because WHAT, WHAT? They don't use 'tu' in Argentina, and they don't use 'vos' in Mexico and SO CONFUSED!

Knox, also as noted, is a Giants fan (albeit of the Gotham Giants circa 1991), so he is the clear cut choice to join the party. Especially since his mun is a dedicated follower of the Giants, and is very excited by the fact that his team is back in the big game. GO BIG BLUE! :)

But I somehow can't say any of your pups getting into American football. I can't see James Bond - especially the newer version - even getting into soccer.

But might toss a pup toward it. Kate might watch a little, not sure if she's a football fan really. Nathan miiiight be in his emo phase in canon then at this rate, otherwise he might watch.
Truman only knows a little of football, but couldn't play it. Probably missed out on Super Bowl stuff though, and he's curious enough that he might check it out.
Oooh, hold on, Johnny would likely watch, though he's more of a hockey fan than any other sport. But definitely appreciative of a good sports game. I'll probably toss him in, and he'd think SARAH's fascinating concept from a scientific perspective.

Random squee.
Random topics, you say?
She-Hulk is part of the brand spanking new Defenders. (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=144139) WRITTEN BY JOE CASEY, one of the very best writers working in the medium. She-Hulk, Blazing Skull, Colossus, and Nighthawk? My pup is usually crack drenched anyway, but this? Threatens to overload the crack pipe.
Bonus Random: Tell me in twenty words or less what is wrong with this illustration. (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/April08/folder2/shehulk28.jpg)

Tower might be along, smoke a big cigar, and be generally amused.
'Suti would run as fast as he could from the mere suggestion.
So I guess, yes, make that one or two charries of mine for that party.-

Another excuse to giggle and make fun of overly testosterone-filled men in tight pants running each other over for the sake of a ball in an event that's no longer a game but a corporate clusterfuck?
Yes.
