Well, it's rainy and gray here, and I am more chipper right now than I've been in weeks at this time of the morning.

(Admittedly, I just discovered that the deli downstairs carries Naked Juice, so there are other factors involved. Mmmm Orange Mango Motion.)

Has there ever been a fandom that you avoided (for reasons other than you personally didn't like it after trying it)? Like (as an example -- sorry Aspen!) Aspen doesn't watch Pushing Daisies because she's afraid she'll like it and then it'll get cancelled. Any other examples out there?

ETA: And because I forgot to say earlier: Whoever gave Mal a paid time extension -- xiexie. *sprinkles you in glitter and such*

Oh, our music program they didn't really care all that much about, but we were out there on the field with the TEAMS, etc etc representing the school, blah blah whatever. I mean, we also did a yearly musical trip, but that sure's hell wasn't funded, we had to do fundraising, and then pony up some cash.

But for the marching COMPETITIONS, for whatever reason, that was different.


(hahaha, and then I went to college, where the band didn't even MARCH -- though did play at basketball games. is just we had no football team. I picked my school b/c of that. -- and we got to register early with the athletes. XD)

I seriously think that's my only regret about choosing the school I did for undergrad -- band was so...helpful for me, as a social group.

I started the French honors society at my school.

Srsly -- here was how the conversation went:
Me: "Professor? How come les maudits (lit. 'the damned' -- the Spanish majors xD) have a honors society for three people, but we have 12 majors right now and don't have one?"
Prof: "...I dunno. Wanna email the national office and start one?"
Me: "...Kay."
