First, OOC notices:
My personal life is having some issues, so I may be erratic as anything for a while. Emotional, physical, pick an issue and someone in my family is suffering. Apologies in advance.
I probably won't be around on Monday, my mother is going to be in town.
The local store sells sugar-free chocolate cheesecake. I figured I ought to put some good news in. Now:
Moiraine enters, and gets a cup of tea. Inigo comes over to speak with her and looks happy. They have small talk, smiling, and Inigo learns about the bar. The Three Oaths (at least the one about lying) come up. Inigo vows to make up for lost drinking time. Inigo's search for the six fingered man comes up. As does the fact that Inigo has no clue who he is, aside from having six fingers. Inigo asks about Moiraines reason for being in Milliways. Moiraine is sad. Inigo points out there are worse places to be stuck. Moiraine looks at Dream, who gives her hand a squeeze. Inigo is horrified by tea.
During this, Dream enters, is smiled at, and is invited to sit with Moiraine and Inigo. He finger-brushes Moiraine's hair for a few moments, then takes her hand and sits down. He also greets Inigo. Moiraine asks how he is doing, and he squeezes her hand and says that he could be worse. Moiraine is wise. She does that. Dream calls her "my dear", and Moiraine does not blush. Tea is provided, and she pours out to all three. (See above Re: Inigo, tea). The fact that it is quiet, and quiet is good is expressed. There is a lot of casual touching, and Dream denies anything amusing happened. Moiraine blushes at being reminded that Dream was in the Garden, with her, much of the weekend. Walking, people, sheesh, and talking.
Raph is a spiffy currently-not-a-turtle. Dream directs Moiraine's attention to Rand. Inigo misses the warning. Moiraine does the Aes Sedai version of freaking out (she goes pale). Dream kisses her, and tells her to go to Rand. They talk lip-to-lip. Dream offers to speak to Rand for her. Moiraine kisses Dream. This would be the first time she's initiated. Dream enters the realm of happy/worried/stressed.
Rand finally manages to get away from Raph, who is being spiffy and trying to figure out if he's a good guy or not. He approches. The voice in his head is not happy at Moiraine. Inigo is paranoid, Moiraine is being very Aes Sedai. Rand has a mild "Bzuh?" moment at the fact that Dream and Moiraine were kissing, but deals with it well. Moiraine introduces people. Dream stands up and manages to avoid making it look like a threat, thread moves down here. There is some confusion on the fact that its "Dream, Lord Morpheus" not "Morpheus, Lord Dream", but that is skimmed over. Continue Inigo's response as above. Moiraine asks about current events. Rand ignores Inigo, but the voice in his head starts reaching for Saidin. Dream tells Lews Therin that he'd rather not have to provide a smack-down tonight. Lews Therin attempts to crawl under a mental rock and hide.
Moiraine asks how Rand's side is doing. Rand is happy. Inigo points out that many people are indebt to Moiraine. Rand asks if Inigo is one of them. Yes, says Inigo. How so? says Rand. She saved my sword, oh, and my life. Says Inigo. Rand provides warning about Moiraine. Inigo expresses that he is witless. Rand and Inigo decide to spar at some time.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...er...wait. Meanwhile, Moiraine is reminding Rand that she promised to help him. Rand assures her that he is not bound. There is a reminder that she and Dream are still holding hands. Rand has an "Awww, cute!" moment, 'though I'm sure he wouldn't think of it like that. He starts for bed.
Moiraine is all of the "Mrar?" except, you know, Aes Sedai. So its more like a serene "Mrar." With thoughtful overtones. Dream cups her cheek and asks if she's alright. She's hesitant. Inigo is confused. Moiraine explains past events. Inigo is sober. Moiraine thinks about nightmares. Inigo points out that at least she gets news from home. Moiraine re-heats the tea. Inigo doubts the good in drinking plants. Dream points out some traumatizing news. Moiraine explains tea. Inigo is rueful at Dream, and philosophical at Moiraine, and forlorn at tea all in one post. Moiraine is fearful of going back to captivity. Inigo points out that worrying is silly if you have no reason to do so. Moiraine defends her right to worry, and absolves him of tea. Inigo realizes he has to go, and abandons the tea.
Meanwhile, we go back up to "Dream cups her cheek" and take the other thread down. He asks if he can do anything for her, and she tells him he's already done a lot. He tells her he'd do more if he could, and sits down again. She doesn't doubt it. He almost smiles, she re-heats his tea, he thanks her. She tells him that it is something she can do, and implies she wishes she could do more. He rests his cheek against her hand. Much casual touch tonight. She cradles his face in her hand, and he basks in it. Moiraine says the night could be worse, and Dream agrees. He requests the right to escort her to her room, she appreciates it, and they leave.
