Oh, man. You missed reading The Rise and Fall if the Shi'ar Empire, huh? Brubaker's twelve issues of space opera that came out in 2006-2007, where Rachel, Alex, Lorna, Charles, Kurt, Darwin, and James Proudstar went to SPAAAACE in pursuit of Vulcan? It was EPIC. I have my problems with Brubaker spree killing characters, but it was old school X-Men goodness with characters that have been ignored for too long coming back into continuity with weapons ablazing. Lilandra! D'Ken! Araki! Corsair and his merry band of pirates! Shi'ar smexin'!
