We watched both halves of the Doctor Who two-parter. To my surprise, given the reactions to part one, I liked it a lot. I love the modern day version of UNIT, in particular. And the next episode looks like it might answer one of the longest-standing continuity questions we have about the Doctor.
I failed at tagging people back with Gwen 'cause I went to get coffee, studied my math and then fell asleep on the couch with my suitemate on my legs as we watched Friends.
Today I can't breathe (lol allergies) and we're off to the ~*zoo*~
Made a mutual pact of revenge with some people on LJ swearing that if anyone spoils me for how Harvey Dent looks as Two-Face in Dark Knight before the film, they will meet with a very bad end!
I'm more concerned that they get the essence of Harvey Dent right. He's my all time favorite Bat-villain because of his bathos, but he's so easy to get wrong. Even the animated series - which I swear by - didn't quite know how to handle him. And Harvey in the new trailer didn't really do it for me (unlike Batman and Joker).
Also, while I am still awake, I'm putting up a personal ad for Paul:
40-something top crime beat reporter (also, a weasel) Paranoid, druggie, alcoholic, carries a gun Is getting close to the point in canon where he moves onto a houseboat Is a possible target of a serial killer
I returned from my parents', unpacked, took a few tags, then went and had a nice long bath, during which I was muchly bothered by a certain cat who kept peeking over the rim of the bath tub, dipping his paw in the water, batting my arm and then racing away in a 'Tag you're it!' kind of way, standing in the basin leaning precariously towards the tub, and other things that make me fear that one day, one day certainly, he will fall into my hot bathwater, and then there shall be great misery and feline wailing...
I dragged me brother and his friend to see Iron Man again, aaaaand then signed up for Twitter, aaand then watched The Office which apparently is what I do now to get to sleep. I'm running out of episodes. :(
Resolved to go to bed early, and then totally failed to do so!
I'd napped a bit earlier, though, so it's all good and I'm totally not needing caffeine today. Right? Right. *clutches tea mug*
Free doughnuts at work today, though! But I can't have any yet, because they are for interviewees and the first one isn't showing up for an hour or so yet, and it seems a tad tacky to raid the box beforehand. But I am hungry and the box is TAUNTING me.
I came home, cleaned the cat box and the toilet (Yay for toilets for both cat and human), waited for my boyfriend to get here; we made dinner and watched House.
Once House was over, we ate and began our first night of our new commitment: Tonight was an hour long brainstorming session -- well, longer really -- on my new novel project. We're kinda committed to gettnig me to finish a project so that I can actually attempt to get published.
We got some way, actually; I'll be posting more details at my journal (but that's flocked, so, neener).
