Alternatively: I just posted a pup into the bar for the first time in I don't know how long. Talk to me about long absences you've had, and why, and how you overcame them. Or what your pups have been up to since the last time they talked to one of mine.

Let's talk abut Knox. After playing him for a few months, he kinda stalled out. I had some good OOMs with him, had fun with him, and got him a few friends. But he was not being very interesting in my head. I had new pups - Kirk and Gibbs - and they were more fun. I was close to stepping back from Knox, maybe even retiring him early.

And then came Rachel Grey's gift of obscene amounts of money to several friends, including Knox. He immediately got an EP. That gift, and his reaction to it, jumpstarted him. Before long, he became and stayed the strong voice in my head. So I can't entirely say that he came back due to anything I started, but once I got him going again, I saw how much there was to do with him as I got him a new job, had him tag Rapunzel that first time, and so on. I guess sometimes you need a new POV or a new challenge to make you see an old pup in a new way.

I'm hoping that will kickstart Mel in the bar, definitely.

Mind there are also canon things to do with Will and Francesca. Just need to get back into the bar swing, I think.

I had a long absence due to the fact that my else!game ate my brain, and there seemed to be not much new in Milliways. Then, suddenly, last autumn, due to a bizarre series of silly circumstances actually starting out with the PB of one of my else!game charries, a certain dead Goth moved into my head and demanded to be given air time in Milliways...

And Teja's mellowed somewhat since any of yours last spoke to him; he's no longer going to tell an armed woman that women shouldn't fight, or suchlike things.

Yeah, sometimes elsegames can be sticky. Still, I might actually app one of my loudest elsegame headvoices next round- I've finally acquired one not already spoken for over here!

My else!game is all OCs, apart from a few deities/archetypes, but I don't have one there. The only overlap between here and the else!game is, funnily, Tower (here) and a ghost named Manny (else!game). Some days after I did the New Year's Tower Special here (draw one tarot card for a look at what the new year brings) I had Manny do the same thing over there, with the same plot-inspiring results.

Teja has been working in the forge, befriending two goddesses and a somewhat lost schoolgirl, planning an explosion with Atton Rand, sat on the beach of the Caribbean inlet without armour, and started a love affair with a vampire, even though he is very, very, very unlikely to breathe even one word of the last point. He's not THAT mellowed yet.

Loooong absence: Monk. After I had that brilliant idea of "LET'S MOVE HIM THROUGH PRE-CANON AND KILL TRUDY ALL OVER AGAIN!" he sort of... shut up.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that his voice comes back to me with the next season. I really don't want to adopt him out or delete him even though I've offered to... he's my first LJ RP pup. I CAN'T LET HIM GO.

Sounds fun! My elsegame accepts OCs, but I only have one - who is incidentally the least stupidly overpowered and/or kickass talented of the lot. Probably because I have higher standards for my OCs than most comic writers have for their characters >_>.

Haha love affair with a vampire. Don't breathe a word of that to Mel. ESPECIALLY if it's Harth.

I picked up one of the comics (Armor Wars) and have been reading; awesome hilarity!

I'm in something of an absence now, I think. The main reason is that I'm swamped by slowtimes, hate tagging them, and hesitate to start new threads while I still have something like 15 running. Also, though, I haven't had the time or the motivation to play, lately; the former's changing, though, and I really think that the latter will, too, as I finish up all of these slowtimes.

Ah yes, when fear of slowtimes overtakes. I know that feeling. And am often guilty with giving poorer and poorer tags in the hope the trhead will die a natural death without my partner hating me >_>

How I know when I really love a movie: I come home and start writing fic within an hour. >_>

The comic is awesome! The one that I picked up is very, very dated and very, very eighties (Tony's mullet! Rhodey's flat-top! The day-glo clothing!); I liked it a lot, both despite and because of those things. I think I'm probably going to go about picking up some more of it; I've got tons of recommendations from people who Know These Things.

I tend to go for quite a while for most of my pups between postings - apart from Guy (I guess because he has other canonmates to keep up with). Mostly it's because when I get home from work my brains are a bit fried and then my weekends get filled with stuff by other people.

I know Frank hasn't been in for a while - mostly because he's post-canony and I've been pondering putting him back to pre-canon and going through it.

I haven't posted Sikozu in bar in I don't even know how long. She's just gone quiet, but hopefully getting around to re-watch bits of canon might stir her up again.

I have no Smallville canon squee, because it was not squeeworthy this week. In fact, Clark says it sucks to be him in so many ways he really doesn't want to think about it anymore.
