Every time I think of Charlie Crews, I think of Whitman's "I am large, I contain multitudes" line.

I also always think of the following Japanese proverb: "The reverse side also has a reverse side."

How hard is it for you to write him? Because he's an incredibly complex and unusual character. He's always seemed to me to be this fascinating mix of Zen detachment coupled with a transparent immediacy of action and words.

How hard is it playing a character like Desmond, where backstory is forever being revealed at irregular intervals?
