(no subject)

*blink blink* School just started and has kept me away from Milliways. Er...can anyone fill me in on what happened? Why did Sirius and 'Skandra leave?

I hate missing things.

They left because they wanted to. It was time to go.

Just life. There was no wank, if that's what you mean. :)

As I understand it, they made a pact a long time ago that if one of them ever left, they both would. The time had just come for one or both of them, I guess.

The departure could have been handled better, I think. There should have been wrapping up of plot threads (some of which had been dangling for a month until Sam's exams were over with). There should have been IC goodbyes. Not one post that gave no warning and--poof!--both of them gone, leaving the rest of us standing around with our mouths open, saying, "What the fuck just happened?"

There would have been grief whatever happened. But I don't think the shock and pain would have been as great if people had had the chance to say goodbye. The other players would have been prepared emotionally for the departure. There would have been closure.

Um, I'mma have to disagree with you there. 'Skandra had been dropping hints to Crowley for a while that she would one day have to go, and the night before leaving, they said goodbye. Trust me, it doesn't prepare you one bit.

*still intensely wah*

You just missed a wake, a bit. That's all. We've all been rather too weepy to plot.
