I watched 'There Will Be Blood', which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I made lots of icons, which I posted at my IJ comm.
I rewatched some Blake's 7 episodes, and I fear I might app a B7 character come next month, even though I reeeeeeally shouldn't add more characters to my pot than Cassie Lang.
I, uh, made meme-mocking voice recordings with Shati and Gen, and read a lot about Empire. But I'm still not done with the book. :( THEORY, I HATE YOU~~
And I sacrificed lots of charcoal and wood and meat juices to Thirdegreeburns, the barbie god, because... roasting meat is a thing we love to do. No holiday here, just BBQ wtih friends and family.
Saw Caspian for the second time on Saturday, met up with a friend and spent the whole of Sunday in Chicago, bummed around the house on Monday, but am going to a Cubs' game tonight and they will win!
Added a little more to the work wardrobe courtesy of holiday sales. Failed miserably in finding decent pair of black flats (damn my gunboat feet) for work. Spent a lot of time at the Tattered Cover and got exactly nothing accomplished that I went there to ostensibly take care of.
However, all of this pales in comparison with walking down Pearl Street in Boulder and hearing a Nels Cline guitar solo waft out of Foolish Craig's. I stood there for fifteen minutes (and made a LJ post about it while I was there, natch) and listened and grinned like an idiot.
Went camping up in the mountains AWAY FROM PEOPLE! And played 'chase-the-cougar.' It was awesome. And then yesterday we had a bbq and went swimming. It was also awesome.
Like agonistes, I too devoted much of my Memorial Day weekend to retail! I went out with the 'rentals, where I scored some stuff I would not so much have been able to afford on my own. Then there were pedicures! My toes are rose-gold now. :DDD
Also there were shoes on Memorial Day. Rrrrock. I also ate apple pie, saw Indiana Jones and Prince Caspian again, hung out with my little sister's gaggle of 13-year-old friends, and practiced Rumba! Good times.
