That is, would I write my charrie's consciousness in that other body, or would I write my charrie's body being inhabited by somebody else?

I guess grovecj could swap with his wife, and feel what it is like to be mom for a while.

derewigejude would swap with pretty much anyone, for the chance of actually resting.

7twistedwishes would gladly do the swapping of bodies, but would want to carry her infernal power with her. And of course, swap with Kate.

tanyadams could be tempted with being a guy for a while. It would be a learning experience (she would learn she does not want to be a guy). For full effect, me the evil mun would have her swap with Hercules.

The Great Librarian canonically body-swaps. Its ENTIRE RACE does that- as a means of traveling through time. It's fun!

She-Hulk already has the canonical ability to body swap (given to her by aliens, no less) - or rather, mind swap into someone else's body. But she rarely tells people this and only uses that power very, very rarely, since there's little point in trading bodies with someone that is less powerful than you in case of emergency showdown, and she's already in the class 100+ range.

She did once trade places with Weezie, her old sidekick, which was kind of...comedy gold.

I don't know that I'd willingly have her trade places with anyone. Oh! Maybe Ratatouille!

Kendra - wow,, that's a toughie. She'd never willingly come to Milliways again if that happened.

Lockjaw I would have trade places with Hercules. Just to see the chaos that would ensue. *evil*

That's the only swap I've ever put any thought into. I think swapping Nita with someone non-human might be fun, but there's some element of "Been there, made that adjustment." (It's so hard to come up with crack for Nita. Canon has already done all of it.) But someone who was humanoid but not actually human, that might be fun.

Swapping Tom with zombie!Ed would probably be unnecessarily cruel to all parties.

There's gotta be someone Epimetheus could switch with. I actually think it'd be interesting to swap him with an animal or a shapeshifter -- give him a sense of what he made, you know?

Once upon a time, Sweeney and I did a few defy_ka threads in which we switched Roland Deschain and River Tam, using the premise that brain damage = part of the body.

And then, as I recall, we promptly DEEPLY DEEPLY REGRETTED that we hadn't come up with the notion until after it was impossible to actually do it in-game, because it turned out seven shades of incredibly interesting and also awesome.

I would definitely not be averse to switching River with someone using that premise, although it would have to be someone for whom it would be beneficial (and/or really, really interesting) to have them experience that way of seeing the world.

For my others... hrm. Piotr would probably take it about as much in stride as one can, given that he's lived through years of X-Man plots; I mean, he'd be weirded out, but he'd deal. It'd be funniest to do it with someone much smaller, though, mainly for the fun of seeing someone else dealing with Piotr's size and the SURPRISE MADE OF METAL! thing. I don't have any specific ideas.

Lan would be, uh, less than pleased. *understates madly* I dunno who would be worth switching him with enough to do that to him.

Honey... swapping with Mori seems the most canonically appropriate, all around.

For me it definitely depends on the character and their control issues. (HI LAN.) Also on how the other character would take it -- "SERIOUSLY, IT'S ME, OKAY," is different from having someone else try to pass themselves off as you.
