(no subject)

So, one of the other muns and I were chatting, and we realized...there've been so many tweaks, changes, etc. to the area out back that we can't quite keep track of them all.  So...would it be possible to get a full summary of them so we can keep everything straight?  Thanks.

You know... Other then knowing that there is a lake, I'm not completly sure what all /is/ back there. AT all. I never have, and I've been here for almost four years.

I think having a definitive *list* would make a lot of personal millicanons hard to mesh up. Some people say the lake is big. Others small, that sort of thing.

I know we've got garden plots, and a greenhouse. There's a forge, and the stables, with outdoor paddocks and some corrals. There's the beach part of the inlet attached to the lake, and the forest...the mountains. The Labyrinth up in the mountains.

Forest, Whomping Willow...space for shooting. Ironhide has a crater somewhere to blow shit up in. A pell for working on sword stuff in some open space? Sometimes there's a heavy bag?

I know I've written that there's a back porch but who knows if it's really 'there' hard and solid or not...part of what I personally like about Milliways is the fact that it's so fluid, but maybe that's just me.

There's a swing, and a little hidden cove that you need to swim to in order to find. There's an area that characters sometimes use as a shooting range, presumably not right by the lake. I've seen a lot of people refer to one or more big flat rocks near the lake, ideal for sunning on.

Check the physical alterations tag. But I believe the back area is ... flexible. I'm pretty sure there's a post somewhere specifying that it was never mapped because if it was, we wouldn't be able to fit everything in. Consider it special Millispace that's as bendy as Millitime, or something?

There's also a list that happened as a result of a Daily Entertainment post? Maybe? I should know these things, damnit.

This is from memory without any sort of backing up thing to speak of, so bear with me.

The lake is not just any lake, but Hogwarts' Lake, with the Bar being in the position of the Hogwarts Castle. So yes there is a Whomping Willow and a Boooooooathouse, as well as a Forbidden Forest.

The Forest repeats itself if you keep going far enough, kind of like a bad Hannah Barbera cartoon. People have tried to map it, but have always come up with differing distances.

There are a set of Mountains that one can go to, those are courtesy of Belar.

The Caribbean Outlet is on the far side of the lake, and which is entirely different than the rest of the Scottish-like lake parts.

There is a Green House just off the Bar, as well as a Barn/stable area. Oh and the Forge.

There is a hedge maze somewhere in the nubulousness of the lawn, off to one side.

Oh and Raph's tent on the roof. Can't forget that.

Edit:

OH! And before I forget!
If you're making an alteration, even of a tiny thing...drop me an email so I can know for future reference.

There is a more comprehensive list in a DE that Muji linked me to:

http://community.livejournal.com/ways_back_room/3508758.html

I'm hesitant to write anything definitive on the locations of things, because I feel as though that kind of requires people to play to it.

If people want a more concrete map I'll totally see what can be done about drafting one up.

There's also [livejournal.com profile] bloody_rockgod's grave at the edge of the forest, under a flat black gravestone.

Which, also, GreenJack has planted with perpetual bluebells.
