A meme from Veronica:

1. People comment with the names of their characters.
2. Others reply to those comments with the names of characters of theirs who have threaded with them.
3. The first person goes back, and replies with at least one thing they enjoy about the thread(s) they've had with those characters.

Tom is a kind of weird one for me because I can usually... have some clue about how a thread's going to go, but I never really do with him. It's sort of like he either stays on her good side by not being too normal (normal as in, for her world), but then occasionally pushes her into grumpy when he's... and yes, gasp, nice to her. It's also kind of interesting in that - even if another person has some ability like hers, Elle is confident enough in her own to be guarded, but still feeling capable. Tom is someone she simply has to be more wary and slightly distrustful of because she doesn't have that feeling of assurance with him. So there's this sometimes... measured sense in the way she interacts with him.

Bela tends to be more how Elle interacts with women who are normal (aka, not X), though she's less... moralistic than the others, so they get along better. There's still I think a sort of separation because Bela is very much a part of the normal world that Elle is not, despite it being full of demons and spirits and all that, and it's - Elle is too versed in the normal world to have the kind of relationship X does with Bela, but not enough to have a normal relationship, so it can be an odd middle ground to feel through.

This is very interesting. Tom regards Elle much in the same way he did Anthy. She was a puzzle, and so is Elle. He knows there is a great deal of pain or misery or something there, and he would like to help in the ways he tends to help younger people who remind him of himself.

Bela just thinks Elle's a fun person to talk to with whom she can stay nicely on the surface of things. No deep thinking there. Yay!
