Daily Entertainment.

Yeah, I got nothin'. I don't even have tv to be excited about today. Lame. I'm gonna go EP.

SUPERCOOL TOPIC FROM [livejournal.com profile] spooky_lemur:

We all love our pups but unfortunately don't write them in whatever media they are published in. This can lead to one problem, writing we don't agree with! Share a moment of out of character writing you feel your pup has suffered. Yes I know there are likely to be many, just pick one that shines above the others.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT CARLISLE NOT STOPPING EDWARD FROM GOING TO ITALY PLZ? WHUT. WHUT. SZDGASDFASFASFHBDF.

Seriously? Squee! *hugs* Say thankya. I'll owe you a ficlet or two, or something. :)

Honestly, I'd love to have a couple Milliways-specific icons, though I'm not entirely sure how that'd work seeing as all her in-bar friends aren't from her canon. Pictures of them together aren't out there, literally, and I don't know how far photoshop goes/how well it works quality-wise. It'd still be ten kinds of cool if there were a way to make a Sariel and Will icon, or a Sariel and Gene one, or both. Or a Sariel and Harding one, aww. Ahem. :)

I'm rather wishing I had a Doctor Who icon too, possibly of Four and Sarah Jane with the Tardis in the near background. *ponders* I'll leave all my non-fictiony icon ideas out of this, as I've already spammed you to heck and back. Say sorry. I don't mean to pile twenty zillion possibilities on you, and if you'd rather skip this after all, that's okay too. Thank you again for offering; I give tons of credit to anybody who can make icons as I, well, can't.

My Photoshopping-people-into-icons-together skillz are kind of ugly, but I can totally take a crack at it! Doctor Who will be easier. :D I (A) have Photoshop and (B) am currently unemployed, so seriously, I have all the time in the world and you are giving me something to do so I don't go stir-crazy, so if you're looking for other sorts of icons, let me know! I love making icons and I don't mind one bit. :D

Whoops, sorry, didn't see this comment until just now. *facepalms*

Ooooh, interesting! Hm, I don't know Discworld quite well enough to have an icon connected to it, but if there are any fourth-era Doctor Who, Star Trek TNG or DS9 icons in there, I might consider. :) Ditto for Blake's 7, if Cally's in the picture. Thank you, by the way. *hugs*

Good lordy but I get the unemployment thing! I'm looking for work like a madwoman, and I'm currently getting a whole heck of a lot of nowhere fast. Darn pesky unusual field of study... ah well, I love it anyway. The field of study, not the lack of job opportunities. That sucketh. glad I can help keep you from going stir crazy, anyhow? Good luck with yon work search thingie, by the way.

I wasn't sure how icons tended to look when people were photoshopped into them... huh. *considers* Maybe the non-fictiony ones would be easier to sort out? I'd love to find an icon representing summer in Wisconsin (I have an image in my head of a lilac tree in the foreground and green fields behind), not to mention an icon representing winter in Wisconsin (snow and ice, anyone? XD) but I haven't the slightest idea where to start looking.

...oh god why. why is there dubiously rated fanart of this.

Hmm, what beef could I possibly have with the Anita Blake books.
*stares blankly*

Maybe Anita using Jason only for sex while making doe eyes at Nathaniel when she knows he's jealous?

Or maybe the forced mind-rape and resulting orgy he was forced to be in?

Or perhaps the bringing him back to life after being tortured only to have bound him as her animal to call FOREVER.

Fuck, pick one.

My accumulated icons are mostly from Firefly, Discworld, New Who, and there's a smattering of Hitchhiker's Guide there too. Plus a bunch of non-fandom-specific stuff and a fair few cross-fandom icons. However, I have two Trek icons that may interest you!

First one: Used for this comment so it's handy. ([livejournal.com profile] montrealais made it, BTW.) Mainly entertaining to Canadians and people who like poking fun at Canadians. :P

"We are the Canadian Borg. Resistance would be impolite. Please wait to be assimilated. Pour l'assimilation en français, veuillez appuyer sur 2." Animated icon (five frames, split where you'd expect it to be), with that as the caption of a Borg cube over an Earthlike world. (Might be from First Contact. I have no idea, but that seems reasonably likely.)

Second one: I don't know who made it, but it's that famous picture from "Timescape" where Picard drew a smiley in the steam from a warp core breach. Here it is:

Ooooh, I had no idea Picard drew a smilie in anything! *not sure whether to laugh or facepalm, does both*

Those are definitely possibilities; I'll let you know if I decide to snag either/both. Say thankya! :)

According to the Wikipedia article, we can credit slash blame temporal narcosis for that.

Alrighty! ^_^
