A fond farewell

On 5th July 2004 Gil Wimple bumbled into Milliways and I had planned to have him bumble out again on the 5th to make it a nice round number. But with the new cast list and everything, and my inability to keep up with more than a couple of threads at a time, I think he might as well go now.

He has handed in his resignation - if it would be handy to keep him as an NPC 'supervisor' to ensure that everyone gets fed and nobody blows up the kitchen feel free to do do and as of 5th July will be - somewhere. He has to stay, somewhere, in the background so Sooty can stay.

God bless Milliways and all who play in her. May you all have as much fun as I did back in the day.

I just wish there had been more. I'll look back at Milliways with great affection and at the players with whom I interacted with even more.

As for wonderful directions ... well there aren't that many years until I retire. I'm looking forward to doing all the creative things then that I don't really have the energy for now.

Thanks so much for the send off. Milliways and the pups that inhabit it have been brilliant fun, but best of all have been the muns. I'll friend your LJ, if I may, and keep up with you that way. It's nice to reassure myself that everyone's okay.

*chin wibbles* I hate to do it but i just don't play enough to warrant staying on. Rest assured that Gil adored Pan and if I wasn't modding a very plot heavy game elsewhere, Gil would probably have made quite a nuisance of himself. Your Pan is very nice indeed.

*wibbles back* Gil misses so many of his old friends and I'll miss all of you, but I haven't had the energy for 2 games for a while now. I'm going on a LJ friending binge and hope to keep up with you that way.

As for Gil, I may finally finish the story I started about him a while back - he was at the Battle of Hogwarts! With a ballistic chicken.
