I'm logged in as Mal so I can keep working on tag stuff, and I'm stealing the Writer's Block question for today for your pups: What does your ideal lifestyle look like ten years from now?

Mal in my head goes: "Assuming I'm not dead? Living. With Inara. And my ship, preferably. And my crew. And maybe Inara and I taking care of our child don't tell her please."

Coreen's fairly easy. She mainly just wants a simple, happy life with Squirrel and their son. Nothing special. She knows, however, it isn't going to be simple. She's learning to be okay with it, but it's still hard on her...circumstances being what they are.

Hm. Evidently the Felix who's answering is from partway through the second game, so he doesn't match up 1:1 with any of the current iterations.

What I'm getting is along the lines of "A house in Vale, being productive, with Sheba at my side."

Little does he know...

In ten years, Ramon wants to be King of the Universe.

...no, not really. He just wants his empire back, Jack Bauer deader than dead and Random to be around more often.

Michael wants his life back too. In ten years, he recognises that he probably wont be a field operative anymore because being fifty is going to slow anyone down. But he'd like to still be working in intelligence and y'know, not ostrasized by the government he's served for most of his life. As for his personal life - he doesn't think about that at the moment (sorry Fi).

Justin wants to be a professional artist and be with Brian. That's about it.

Funny that my pups are pretty much there. Kirk is doing what he's supposed to (and we will ignore than before the next ten years are out, he will be driven to retirement again and then die in a blaze of inadequate film). Knox has almost everything he wants in his career and his life, and plans to go on doing it. Gibbs might say he wants to make enough money to stay in Tortuga forever but we know better and know he'll be a pirate till he's too old be one (or till he's claimed by Davey JonesWill Turner).

And Charlie...well, he's dead. He's pretty sure that means that long term planning is out.

Hmm. Ten years. *pokes the puppets*

Nathaniel would want to be four marks bound to Asher, happily owned and utterly content in having his place in the world firmly marked out by a master who knows what the hell to do with him. I think that would be his ideal, protected and loved and owned.

Dorian... well, sadly, ten years or a hundred years, his life never changes, only the scenery. Ideally? He'd want to see redemption realized, his slate wiped clean, to love and be loved since that's the one thing he's never had. He'd want to be able to look himself in the mirror and not feel ashamed in those dark moments when he's not too stoned or too smexed out to care about himself.

Moon's Moon. XD That little sparkling pile of happy tends to just roll with everything. She'd like to still be with Jason, content as a clam as part of his world and his people.

Ruin's Ruin. I think his ideal would be still married to Mary Anne and happy with her, continuing their eternity together the way it started: with one hell of a bang.

Anita would want to have control of the arduer, trim down her harem, and continue kicking ass and taking names.

NĂ¡mo, amazingly, has his ideal. A loving partner, a home, family, and children. That is one happy, domestic god.
the_cupbearer: (little smile)

[personal profile] the_cupbearer 2009-07-09 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
D'aww. Ganymede would like to help Dorian with that. And as soon as I find my copy of the book, I can let him read it. And hopefully he'll understand the ahahaha, no seriously? laughter when he says he's sleeping with Dorian Gray.

>.> Is it strange that Micah's is pretty much the same as Anita's, sans the trimming down of the harem bit?

Heavens, Steph, how are you not losing your mind?

*sends you tea*

As for the question . . . well, the advantage of playing someone from 20-some years before her canon is that I do know where she's supposed to wind up. In 1998, Meg will be married, living in Montreal, and working for MSF. In our slightly-off-canon-timeline, she's probably either pregnant or has a very young son. Oh, and canon be damned, she has not spent the last ten years not speaking to Kim.

As for the others . . . Amy has a half dozen children and is still the Queen of Ambergeldar, Anna is in college enjoying her last couple of years of humanity, and Verity . . . has been dead for, um, about nine years. Alas.

woo, tags! \o/
As for the question... hmm.
Angel's kind of already got his ideal, or as much of one as you can ask for when you're dead.
Carl's ideal is still doing his current job, either with the same guys or trying to strike out on his own (because, well, he's easily the youngest of the group). I think it's safe to say he'll get that.
Larry wants to strike some balance between the inventing-stuff and the museum. And he just might get that, but... ahahahaha.
Cosmo... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. He'd like to be doing something that'll change the world, in ten years' time. What he'll be doing is getting busted out of jail by some organised crime outfit or other.
Cata's ideal is doing what she's doing now. The reality is probably going to include her teaching at the Assassins' Guild, which... is not something she's ever seen herself doing, but she's not about to leave poisons to inexpert hands.
Moist, I'm not sure. Probably more of what he's doing now (esp. since that includes being dry.)

Hunh. Good question.

Um... Okay, half of mine don't expect to live that long, at least subconsciously. (Lan, despite recent changes and how bad he is at not surviving; Trowa, who doesn't expect to die any time soon but hasn't yet picked up the habit of assuming peace will stick around long-term; Piotr doesn't expect to die and have it stick, anyway, but he's been an X-Man way too long to make aaaaaany long-term assumptions, despite the long-term goals of Peace And Fellowship And Understanding etc.)

For the others: Honey will be 27 or 28 then, so presumably in the family business and running the family dojos. He's the Haninozuka heir, despite some family clashes on the subject, so that's pretty much a given. And he will still eat cake all the time and be inseparable from Mori! Both of these are absolutely in his Life Plan. I suspect the rest of it is fairly vague. Although sometimes Honey's planning skills surprise one.

Regan would like to have Gabriel retired and alive and reasonably healthy thank you, and puttering around a garden and stuff and working on whatever level of projects will keep him from going stir-crazy, while she does the same. Living back on Osiris, maybe, or in a more suburban area of Londinium. (Ideally she would like to not have to deal with bodyguards and stuff by then, but she knows that ain't happening.) And her kids living near enough for visiting frequently. (And, in the ideal world she is not admitting aloud even to herself, River sane again. And grandchildren.)

River... man, I'm not even sure. I will ponder this one.

(Also, dude, that is an impressive tag list! *applauds madly*)

Man, Steph, you are an organizing MACHINE. *impressed*

Ooooh, this is another question I get to be depressing for Jamie for again. :D

Jamie: Bopping from world to world! Still thirteen! Successfully pretending it's not super depressing that Helen and Joris are now in their twenties and having grown-up lives, while he's . . . still thirteen and has not yet gone through puberty! (Not ideal would be unsuccessfully pretending. D:)

Duck: Being a non-terrible ballerina who every so often gets to dance a pas de deux with Mytho. Who is happy all the time! As is everyone else too. *spaaaarkly eyes*

Mary: Mary doesn't dream big! In her ideal future, she is living in her uncle's house and taking care of her garden, with Dickon and Colin and everybody who is already there (except for Mrs. Medlock, who is annoying), and nothing's really that different from how it is now.

Well, except that she is a grown-up, everyone takes her seriously, she is a SUPER-SKILLED NINJA WARRIOR, and also she's a genius doctor that people come to when they're terribly sick and she makes them better because she's the only doctor in England who isn't an idiot. Also she has a research lab and library for finding out anything she needs to know ever. You know. As you do.

Jayne: Retired to a nice place with a bar on one side and a whorehouse on the other.

[identity profile] six-ofone.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Elle says if she lasts that long, she'll figure it out then.

Carla's would be a house, being with a significant other who's looking and more like Turk, at least two kids, and still having her job. She likes the last one more than she'd let on to Turk.

Caprica... is having difficulty comprehending this question. All I'm really getting is her odd realization that Gaius would be older then.

Oh, wow, let's see.

Ingress will be 21 (!?!) and out living la vida Herald. She'll be riding circuits, soldiering, serving as a diplomatic presence in the hinterlands with Megwyn by then. She'll love every minute of it. She's going to be good at her job.

Tom will be 42 and in the prime of raising family, solidifying power and alliances, and working some serious magic. He's going to kick it up a notch magically in his 40s-50s. Not that he isn't powerful already, but the maturity and wisdom sets in about then for him.

Oh, Bela. Ideally she'd be in her thirties, well-established in society, and flourishing in her interior design business. She'd also have been through lots and lots of therapy by then to deal with being a normal person from a not normal background. Actually, in game, her fate is still unclear. I have time to figure things out. What I want her to do and what she will do - there are options...

Mojo doesn't change. He is fixed in time, like a turbanned fly in amber.

Val has been collecting tokens from different worlds and so now has access to them. She spends her time exploring and adventuring and finds she doesn't miss her old world some much any more. Maybe there's that special someone but, then again, she's a busy woman, so maybe not.

Loki says that would be telling and he/she isn't going to make it that easy for me.

Ben's lobby has finally succeeded and the Super Human Registration Act has been repealed. Additionally, Norman Osbourne has been exposed as the maniac he is and the whole Dark Reign is over.

Ben has pulled back from active duty as a super hero and instead spends most of his time at his training camp for younger super heroes, the Grimm Youth Center and managing his bar on Yancy Street. He's also brought back the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation and is working on creating a super hero search/rescue team and a super hero disaster response team.

I don't know about his marriage with Debs as there has been a dark foreboding in the current story line.

Usagi has finally avenged the death of his master, married Tomoe and together they manage a fencing dojo. Usagi still has not sworn loyalty to any other lord but aids Lord Noriyuki when ever there is need.

I like that question applied to RP characters! Good choice.

Time doesn't exactly move in straight lines in Fakir's world. That said, Fakir isn't planning for ten years in the future. He tries not to think about it, but he's pretty convinced that he won't survive the year. If he does live, well, he doesn't want to be a professional dancer, and he hasn't got any better ideas yet.

Fakir would like to be a hero, preferably the hero who saves Mytho, but there's a job with a limited life expectancy.

Archibald Craven would like to see Misselthwaite Manor filled with Mary's and Colin's children, laughing and playing and gardening. (It's a lovely dream. Unfortunately, in ten years, it will be 1918.)

[identity profile] mallory-grace.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Mallory's original plan was to have a job in Occupational Therapy, but is dreaming more and more of living in Japan and making Ninja Babies, too.

Rapunzel tries not to think that far into the future, but hopes she and Alex will still be together and that if her door returns, it will remain and give her steady access back to the bar.

Bobby would like to continue being AWESOME. Beyond that, he has no definite plans.

Mother Nature...will keep on keeping on. This goes for Mr. Clean, as well.

My newest pup has not been approved yet, but she hopes to see her world well on the way to true healing and learning from past mistakes.

Oh gracious, ten years. Mia, at age 32, will be in full Guildmaster/Wife/Mother swing by then, complete with this sweet icon I'm using right here. By then, Mia will have had all of her children, the last one being just around a year old. (Um, surprise? XD) Her middle child will be around seven or eight at that time and her eldest, for those who don't catch on quick, will be around nine or ten. Her life will probably have to run on a schedule, possibly a college type weekday schedule with alternating work days with Draco so both of them can care for the baby and work, hopefully with free time in the afternoon so that time can be spent with the older children as well. Sunday will be time to unwind with the whole family. Saturday will be set aside for the children to visit with Nana, Uncle Rabastan, Uncle Nash, the de Alkirks, or, if they're visiting, Alex, Luna, and Nall, while Mama and Papa have a little free time to themselves.

Which all sounds nice written down. Let's see if they can manage to do it. I doubt that the way Mia looks in her icon will be the norm.

[identity profile] binaried.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Merlin would like to own his own company, live in San Francisco, have something of a stable social life, and not rule anything. Sadly, his canon has Other Plans.

Leto wouldn't mind settling down someplace, but she's pretty easy about the wandering bit.

Eirene figures she'll be doing what she's doing now, and hopes Clark is still in her life. Possibly even with a half alien demi-god baby.

Disregarding the timescale issue: Enzo would like to be a well-established full Guardian, living back in Mainframe but going on missions out in the 'Net, and married to Dani, with whom he will happily split his time between their worlds.

This is problematic at best. Mainframe probably isn't allowed to have more than one official Guardian, and if he's to travel, it makes more sense to be stationed at a major server, not a small PC. As Guardian and superhero, he and Dani could be needed in their respective worlds at any time, which is a problem if time doesn't freeze when one is in the other's world, and if time does freeze, then they'll both appear to everyone else to be aging at double speed. (You can only blame so much of that on Games.)

Currently, he's taking refuge in the fact that they've got ten years to figure all this stuff out. (The Dani stuff in particular; he'll be stationed where he's stationed, it's part of the job.)

Gus is afraid of the future. He tends to think a day at a time, his typical career path made up of more "quick schemes" than any real plans. Ten years is inconceivable, an invisible point on an invisible horizon.

I was out shopping all day so I'm going to answer this now.

Will doesn't expect to be alive but he will be and with Kate, hopefully starting a family and with Robin pardoned and the King back.

Demeter won't have changed too much in terms of what she'll be doing, lots of tending and taking care of things.

The Pirate King in my world is going to be married to Ruth and they'll be still off pirating or causing trouble somewhere.

Tumnus will still be in Narnia, compiling his history of Narnia and I'm not sure where in his timeline the Pevensies return to England.

I don't want to think about Jane's honestly since it makes me sad for her.
