Back to Milliways and a short report on falling off of things.

Okay guys, I am back from my trip. I had loads of fun, and even fell off a cliff and nearly got heat stroke to boot. I know those of you in chat have heard a lot about what is going on during my weeks due to the fact that I got to come home on the weekends. But those of you who are not in chat, well, you all missed out on the pics, and the stupidity. I will be posting a full report in my Mun account. I just wanted to let you all know that I fell off a cliff and survived. That hurt!

That was because I was doing something STUPID and well, I got what I deserved. It all started because I had done some rock climbing earlier in the day and then lets just say that I was trying to climb up a rock, and my TA said he didn't think it looked safe. I was all, "Phishaw," and tried it anyway, and then realized he was right. Cockiness will get you no where!

"Nick I think you are right," I said, but it was too late and the dirt under my feet fell away. The next thing I thought was, "Here I go." Then, I was falling.
Nick said I was first sliding down on my stomach with my arms above my head. Then he said I hit a lip of rock stumbled back and started to tumble end over end till I landed on my back in the East Fork of the Jemez River.

All I remember is falling, thinking, and landing. I did think, "I hope I don't break anything. I wonder if my cousin's camera is gonna make it." Then I hit the water and my right ankle began to hurt and suddenly Nick and Matt were there to help me up. I have to say, my backpack saved my life. I didn't hit my head on the rocks I landed on, and the river wasn't too deep. Well, we started to giggle a lot after all of that because it was so absurd, and somehow I didn't break anything. I mean the only injury I have other than the huge bruise on my butt, and all the scrapes, is that my left knee is not wanting to cooperate with me.

So, the Lesson here is that pride really does go before the fall! No honestly that was what it was all about.

And I am back, so expect more from my pups who I am way too lazy to list here now. But you know what is cool, is the energy that you get when you come down from a high altitude into a low one. It's insaine. But yeah... I need to get ready to get my car I am at my dad's house.
