*hugs from afar!*
I'm off to bed so I can have Tuesday instead. Uh, DE ... List Five Good Things About Mondays.*

Without changing then, if your (non-superhero) pup were a superhero, what would their powers and name and all be? So like, I contend that Meg Ford's ability to make lists and be organized just might be superhuman. Clearly, then, if she were a superhero, she'd be the one making sure people returned library books on timme and never forgot to buy the milk. I suspect her name would be Rolodex. (Well, it almost sounds like a superhero name, doesn't it?

I have a good thing about this Monday: my new office lets me pretend to be Batman ALL DAY LONG. (in the sense that it is high up and looks at tops of buildings, but, you know, I will take what I can get.)
... i'm not listing five things, that's too hard. Dumb idea. >.>
*goes to bed*

To those well-versed in APA style: When using a foreign term like grandes sauces in a paper I know that I should put it in italics the first time I use it.
I'm wondering; do I need to put the translation in parenthesis if my audience already knows what the word means?

Also, yes, I hate Mondays.

From the other side of the international date line
2. Going shopping in Kamakura with family, and finding some really cool stuff.
3. Visiting the Kamakura Daibutsu and taking many pictures.
4. Getting to splash briefly in the Sea of Japan (while getting sunburnt, but hey, small price to pay) and take pictures of the surfers and sailboats.
5. Having delicious shabu-shabu for supper, and wandering around the electronics store, making longing faces at video games that you know will never be released in English or outside of Japan(*Siiiiigh*), before returning to your room to check up on the internet and head to bed.
It's been a good Monday. ^_______^

2. Monday Night Football.
3. My boss usually has a meeting with her boss at 11 am, essentially giving me till noon to get myself organized for the week.
4. Traditional night for at least some quality TV - MASH, Heroes, 24, Castle, Lou Grant, Big Bang Theory, etc.
5. After Monday is over, only one more day to Wednesday comics.

Also, it is my day to either watch True Blood, or watch True Blood for the second time. (Nonspoilery reaction to last night's episode: Jaaaasoooooon <33333333333)
...also, Hoyt really looks like Leo Kottke, and it confuses me.

- A five day break from home improvements!
- The Boomtown Rats (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yteMugRAc0).
- I get to listen to what ever music I want to (as long as it is on my work computer).
- I get to go back to being more active with threading.
And I can't wait until tomorrow's DE. = D

1. My sister goes to work, leaving me with the house to myself.
2. Updated webcomics.
3. All of my favorite places that are normally closed on Sunday are open now.
4. Monday morning of a week with no holidays is a good time to order stuff online.
5. Not necessarily good for me, but good for others: the local Famous Dave's gives a discount today to people who work in medicine.

3. Daily Show/Colbert come back from the weekend! I dropped all the other shows I watched on Mondays :\
4. It's named after the moon! ... I'm kind of grasping, now.
5. ... mail comes today, so I get my netflix Dollhouse dvd and will be able to watch "Epitaph One" in shiny shiny bluray. Yes, that's totally related to Monday. Yep.

2. Laughing at the twits over on the boards at CBR.
3. White tea with coconut milk.
4. Macadamia butter on rice cakes.
5. Finding out that I have really, really cool AND hip new downstairs neighbors who will take me to dinner and talk about neuroscience, GitS, Alan Moore, French graphic novels, Latin American politics, Bulgakov, and parkour.

That's mostly good. I also get butterflies when I think about it.

Sigh, I love my fall schedule!

I got to sleep in--after woefully falling asleep mid-tag at nine am--and there is no one in the house but me and the cats. And won't be until after supper, my mom has a dinner-thing with her coworkers and my brother's off with friends.
And I have threads I'm not killing myself with. These are good.
And I have lettuce and Greek vinaigrette. This is necessary to my happiness.

I really want to try that North African salad thing Saundra mentioned the other day; I think it's called tabbouleh? Normally, though, I'm more Italian with my salads. Today, I had one of arugula, Bresaola, and Grana Padano (which is secretly know as 'the salad with the names').

1) My manager usually does the next week's schedual- and this one today will include THE START OF MY VACACTION!
2) I have three days off in a row, starting tommorrow. Er. Minivacation?
3) Short closing shift tonight, meaning I got to chill and do nothing for most of today.
4) Home 'made' dried apples. Home made raisins that are not yet raisins, but are still incredibly good and sweeter than sugar.
5) Cooler weather and clouds!
