Update from Ann Arbor

It turns out that the cable connection in my apartment is fried and so needs to be reinstalled by Comcast and I have no idea how long that's going to take.

So for the moment, my only net access is going to be in various cafes around town, luckily there are lots and its free just my timing will be a little weird until I get things set up in my place.

Since this seems about as reasonable a spacetime as any to ask, would you prefer to handwave that Frederic eventually gets a reasonably complete explanation, or go into glacialtime? He seems to be hiding from me for now.

I'm good for handwaving since the PK is sometimes an odd voice for me too. Someday they will have a longer thread and there will be much sherry.

Yes, Ann Arbor is lovely in that so many of the cafes have free internet so it works, its just annoying since I have my desk all set up.

Hopefully one of the benefits of arriving as early as I did is that Comcast won't be too swamped with new set ups.
