Have you ever wanted one of your pups to thread with another of yours? Would they commiserate, banter, chat, flirt, argue, or fight? Or would they ignore each other completely?

*whistles* That's impressive. Considering at 3000 words I start realizing I'm just fluffing up descriptions to get more words in, that's really impressive.

If Renee met teenage Dinah she'd probably not have a clue what to say. "Soooo, you're going to grow up to lead the Justice League. Rather you than me."

Dinah and Claire, however, would be BFFs. Also, Dinah would teach Claire some actual fighting skills.

Wes and Hari would become BFFs from fighting. And the idea of Wes and Peter ever meeting is actually kind of terrifying -- like, Wedge and Tony Stark would be in a corner going "Well, now both our universes are going to end" -- so I try not to imagine that, except for the part where it would be awesome.

Ben and James would be interesting. TEENAGE SPY MEET-UP. I guess they'd probably trade tips, but I don't think Ben would like James much overall. Hmm.

Jerry kind of wants to go through the tech that Tyler's verse has. He can't actually just haul it through, but he wants it.

Yuuno wants to slap sets of protective wards around large areas of more than one planet, but that is an issue already.

Ako... I got nothin'.

Tyler kind of wants to set up a double date now with Jerry and their girlfriends. Since I play both of the guys and no one plays the gals this is probably never going to happen.

We have discussed this at length. Especially given icons coming into mainstream now, because of actors ending up near each other in movies, and the canon to come. Some of mine would be hilarious to bump into each others, others not so much.

I'm still going to have to write Star-Edward one day.

I think that my pups pretty much exist in separate compartments in my head these days. While Knox and Charlie have careers in journalism in common, I just don't see any of my pups needed to talk to another.

With most of mine I've never really considered how they would interact, if only to save my brain. Alanna and Elizabeth were the exception. Jack told Alanna that Elizabeth chained him to the Pearl and left him as a kraken snack, and she was livid; not only does she find this cowardly and dishonorable, but Lizzie did it to Jack. Soon she'd heard Lizzie was in the bar, and... well. Something clearly had to be done.

Thankfully Aspen was willing to throw Jack into the mix, and we played out Alanna and Lizzie meeting, instantly disliking each other and getting into a fight. I loved it (and so did Alanna). Now they quietly despise each other from afar!

You know, it's funny - Tom and Ingress, being family and all, talk together all the time. Usually I write up ficlets when I want to present this, but sometimes I thread their conversations, and it's never weird. The two have such strong holds in my mind that they are easy to separate, and they go together so well as sort-of-father and sort-of-daughter that I couldn't not have them talk.

Bela and Tom on the other hand... It took me a long, long time to get to the point where I could even thread them at the same time. And wow, they would hate each other. Or, well, Tom hates Bela due to jealousy for quasi-OOC. Bela'd just try to pick him up since he's her type (older, powerful, etc). *eyeroll*

I think Ingress and Mojo Jojo would have fun, silly time together.

Hmm, now lets see: the Devil would pretty much talk with anyone, at least once, but I can see her and Marlowe in a long discussion about why people do what people do.

Ben and Jordan could have an interesting chat too, as I have imagined in my head but Ben would end a bit scared of her and backing off.

[identity profile] spooky-lemur.livejournal.com 2009-08-18 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Ben and Val have talked and in fact they kind of had too, what with Ben being the only family Val has access to right now.

Artemus and Capt. Roland would be an interesting conversation.

Artemus and Usagi would be either full of crack or profound. Oo maybe both.

[identity profile] rowanberries.livejournal.com 2009-08-18 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooo. I did have one big RPsterbation thread, where most of mine crossed paths, but never any proper interaction. Jack would flirt with Havelock, because he has a thing for the quiet, clever, occasionally extremely dangerous ones, while Havelock tolerated him back and picked his brains on human behaviour over time. Probably something similar with Jack and Sabriel, but they'd be most likely to have a proper discussion one they got over Jack's initial flirting instincts.

Harth and Sabriel would be a trainwreck of clashing worlds, and most likely end up with Harth dead or at least magically bound, because he has no sense of self-preservation sometimes.

Shelley would mildly disapprove of Jack and Harth, who would in turn delight in winding her up (Jack by making outrageous flirtatious remarks, Harth by making outrageous evil remarks) would be worried by Havelock, who would be generally bemused at her, and probably get on quite politely with Sabriel, but find nothing really in common to talk about.

I've done it before, and it's been fun occasionally, or at least convenient for plot purposes. The only ones of the current crop that I want to interact are Jack Harkness 1.0 and Ianto, but that conversation would pretty much be, "So, my boyfriend's in love with you," and, ow. So I don't know if they'll ever actually meet.

Way back in the beginning, back when I was attempting to make it look like Mike was being played by someone other than me, I used to do a whole lot of scenes with the Brothers together.

Originally it was always easiest for me to play Raph as opposed to Mike. Then Raph was out of the game for a year due to Real Life stuff, and it slowly became easier to play Mike than Raph.

At some point? I'm hoping to get so comfortable with the both of them again that I can play them at the same time, but...I have no idea what that time line looks like.

Well, I do play both River and her mother! Which is slightly awkward, because I dislike playing against myself. I've played them in the same thread occasionally, but mostly I just handwave their interactions.

Alain and River really should have crossed paths more often, given that River hung out with all the gunslingers and Alain was one of the more conversationally patient of them anyway. Again: haaaandwave. Mostly I just played it that they didn't run into each other too often. Similarly, River and Piotr got to be good friends back when Feather was playing Piotr, and since adopting him I've mostly handwaved it rather than threading them.

I always was glad that Edmund was retired by the time I adopted Piotr. Their relationship was FASCINATING and highly awkward -- Edmund had previously dated, gotten engaged to, and then broken up with Kitty, and the emotional dynamics were complicated all around -- but I would have given myself such a headache trying to play both sides of it.

For the others: I would totally thread Lan-Trowa. It'd be easy: they wouldn't say anything! I've threatened to do this to some third party before, I think. River would like Lan, at least to some degree; craggy stonefaced curmudgeonly warriors are totally her type to befriend. I'm not sure if he'd like her back, though, or if the crazy would throw him too much. It'd depend on how it went.

River and Trowa would have nothing to talk about. I don't think anybody would actually like Honey, but River and Piotr would put up with him amiably enough, and Trowa would be impassive at him. Which Honey is totally used to, so he might like Trowa! Nobody would bond with Edel either, alas, because she's a creepy cryptic puppet who doesn't make normal conversation because Drosselmeyer is amused by this; Trowa would play verbal chess with/at her, though, and Piotr would be earnestly polite to her. Lan and Piotr would probably get along pretty well, in a low-key kind of way! Piotr would be amiable at Trowa, who wouldn't mind that, and maybe they'd talk or maybe they wouldn't. Regan would probably get along well with Piotr, and decently with Lan, and be bemused by Honey, and have nothing in common with Trowa.

There, how's that for an infodump? Jeez, self.

Fiona and Mills would hate each other at first sight.

River and Abe would get on famously. (BOOKS!) Olga and Abe might get on as well. (Olga needs to meet Hellboy, srsly.)

Aaaand now there's a huge crack thread in my head of Earl and Gecko having a heart to heart.

As a matter of fact some of my pups have threaded with one another. In Milliways even.
-Amanda and Prue-
-Tim McGee and Alucard-

Though I still want Amanda and Alucard and now Vicki and Alucard to meet. I'm not sure how they would interact. Though Alucard would definitely try to have fun with Vicki given her demonic marks.

I'm not sure about mine really. I tend not to think about them really interacting at all.

Will and Tumnus would probably just stare at each other due to the slight doppelganger thing and then not know what to say.

Tumnus and Jane would discuss books and writing and let their tea get cold.

The Pirate King and Will would have crazy shenanignans.

Demeter and Jane would I think get along quite well and probably end up saying more than either of them realized.

Will would be quite grateful to meet Demeter and just get a good long hug for a bit while he was confused by her being a goddess.

The extent to which Gilbert and Momiji would mutually horrify one another amuses me to no end. I'm totally proud of the fact that I play someone with patience and sweetness as superhuman as 'Miji's and someone who, given enough time, could probably get him to slap him in the face and say, "What the Hell is wrong with you?"

Well, okay, maybe not the slapping and swearing. But 'Miji'd think about it, eventually.

And, on the flipside, Gilbert would be shocked that Momiji is up and about, instead of crouched in a corner somewhere sucking his thumb, after the first five words left the bunny-boy's mouth.

Adrian Shephard ran across Gordon Freeman in a bathroom at White Forest once. He punched him in the face, said 'now we're even', and stalked off.

Generally I try to avoid my characters threading with one another, but that was sort of called for.

Lorne and Teyla would be...well, I was going to say 'fun', but now that I think about it, threading them together in Milliways might actually be a little boring. They'd most likely just be ridiculously supportive of one another. Lorne would be overprotective, and Teyla would roll her eyes and ask him if he wanted to spar.

I've occasionally thought of Lorne and Nikola threading with each other, but mostly only because both actors play different characters in each other's canon. So Lorne would look at Nikola and see Dr. Parrish, a nervous, over-excitable botanist. And Nikola would (possibly, if he'd ever met this character) look at Lorne and see Joe Kavanaugh, a vaguely crusty, down-to-earth police detective who doesn't really believe in abnormals.

None of mine have interacted- Or at least, nothing springs to mind- ahah. Joris and Laini were in on the Casino plot thing with Coyote, but there were plenty of other characters around to act as a buffer between them. Laini just thinks Joris is some sort of Military Brat, Joris thinks she was 'somewhat' nicer than Riley, but he still thinks both the people on the headsets were having too much fun joking around when they had a job to do. Ahem.

I totally handwave Konstam and Joris talking and interacting. I know their motives and reasons for what they each do- but writing it out? Not quite so much.

All of my other chars don't really interact much at all. But if they did-

Wellard would more than likely be patiently amused by Joris, and he'd listen to the young teen ramble on and on and on. Joris can get along with anyone who doesn't hate him, so that would work!

Wellard and Laini... *facepalm* She'd flirt with him and tease him just to get a reaction. Depending on how overt/blantant she was with it, Wellard would either blush and not know what to do, or play the straight face and try to gentlemanly flirt back. (He's learning about such things!)
